We let it snow for a few days, and when the snow is about 1' deep we go out and pack the snow down with Snow shoes .... For this one we walked around in a figure 8 for a few days. Then when it gets really really cold at night we go out with the hose and spray a layer of ice. We do this a few nights in a row. You need to bring the hose in each night so that the hose doesn't freeze. When you can walk on the rink without it cracking you can flood it at night.
Very cool stuff! Here in London I was so dissappointed to see it barely snowed :( I love the snow so much. I've always wanted an ice-rink in my garden too funny enough. How do you achieve the ice rink, any advice? thank you :) take care.
