  • right now i have the finger speed to be at least under a 30 sec average but i have been practicing F2l for about a week now and i still can't get that great at f2l... my average time doing f2l is 26-36 seconds. and my average time with 2 look oll and 2 look pll is around 15 seconds. is there any any advice fr solving f2l a little faster than i already am? please ould someone help me with solving f2l faster and if you have any other tip that would help to.

  • @link19a Easy way to get your time down is learning all the pll cases to do it in 1 look, not as hard as it may seem. F2L is something most people should learn through intuition, harder cases you may want to look at algorithms for though. So after you understand intuitive F2L, you can try other stuff like working on your look-ahead, extended cross, etc.

  • So is this the guy who brought cubing back to life?

  • let me to mix it for you and lets se how fast you can do it

  • wat method did u use for this?

  • @porter682 Not really what I could describe as finger tricks mate, think whatever you like..

  • I'm glad Dan Knights has taken his place in the cubing world. Not in the top 100 in any event.

  • what laptop is that?

  • pfff cheater nice trick but i can do this too :P

  • @Angsthase1995 Cheater? how.

  • What computer is that?

  • u are the best Mister Knights :D

  • fake

  • @tlaza1317

Your dumb, its far from being fake, the best OFFCIAL WORLD RECORD is 7:08 seconds, before trolling on a video, try being intelligent

  • Damn, im still stuck at 30!

  • What the hell happened in 00:29 xD damn that was fast

  • my cube gets stuck when i turn it :(

  • @djd1993 if it locks up, sand it. if it just turns slowly, lubricate it.

  • Did you know he is one of the famous fastest cubers in the world,

  • fake

  • @Dixtosa why is it that when a person does a rubiks cube in an incredibly small amount of time it's fake, yet when it takes 4 minutes it must be real?

  • @BanditAfro well, i was wrong, when i wrote that i didnt know much so u r right

  • I'm still at a measly 56 seconds... you guys are so fast... lol

  • whoah thats a neat computer :O

    Nice job.. :D

  • Having no fingertricks really does give the cuber their own style :) Yours rocks :)

  • Really nice man, good work.

  • WTF! No fingertricks!!!!!

  • there were a few. but very few

  • please answer what method do you use?

  • frdrich

  • He uses Fridrich/CFOP method.

  • make a tutorial to your way to solve it!!!!

  • the answer is on the SCREEN ;p

  • holy shit nice lol

  • Dan, can u please tell me what method ur using!!!

  • fridrich method

  • Dan Knights has never held a world record. He's all hype.

  • he had a world record back in 2003...

  • Back at the first world championship since the 1980s...

  • ooommmmggg...tat waz sick!!!

  • why is your cube so smooth? i mean smooth in terms of twisting mines stiff and my speed is 1:27

    mins

  • literally, if you think people play the video back ward's, then you are fucking stupid. get a life, and in the process maybe just a wee bit more educated..

  • Plus he could've just modified the end a lil.

PS. dont flame me with this, if this is real, then im fine with that!

  • Not to spoil the fun but... for the less intelligent people... when hes done twisting the cube and puts it down, rewind the vid.. guess what it'll look like then.

  • Your a qoick one

  • i wish my f perm was that fast

    lol

  • SICK

  • this is bull i cant remember the oll and pll

  • u cheated that is the cheating way to get a good time i know becaues i can do it and u just did the same over nd over again

  • No, you can see the method he used. It's called the Fridrich method. You can see at the end he puts his hand down on the mat because he's used to a StackMat timer. Also he's a world-renound cuber already.

  • Wow! unbelievable, u r a genuis, man. Great. Superb

  • what brand rubik's cube do u have. just plain rubik's, DIY. is there a difference.

  • loooool that PLL was insane! xD

  • nice laptop haha

  • hah i was like you fag when you messed it up and threw it down but then i was like awesome

  • neato!! i have 40 seconds average w/ 38 record. still trying to bring it down, using layer by layer method for f2l, then simplified oll with a couple tricks to get the upside cross, then pll all the way. now, is the keyhole valid or should i go to the normal fridrich f2l?

    or shall i learn petrus?

  • if you're trying to get a faster solve don't use petrus.... well i gues you could but i think it's slower. just do fridrich f2l

  • i guess it all depends on the person XD im using fridrich, cause i can't seem to learn petrus,, confused me...but i'll learn that method someday... i memed. all the OLL/ PLLs and i avg 34s... but now.. i'm getting some 20s...so in a few weeks, i may get a sub 20s avg!!

  • did you use the keyhole method???

  • Yeah try doing better than that joeegg08

  • Then why are you watchin this video?

  • Which cube is that?

  • I think he uses a Rubik's DIY.

  • that cube looks too slow to be a DIY

  • i think its a rubiks diy..

  • you must not know mush about cubing then

  • damn dude ur so stupid shut ur damn mouth coz u dont know anythiing about speedcubing.Retarded idiot its speedcubing i guess u only know the beginner method not the advance onces now shut your damn mouth cause u dont know anything about speedcubing DUMBHEAD

  • you're a moron. dan knights, the 2003 world champion, did no such thing. you can clearly see his completion of the f2l and the ll.

you need to stop talking when you don't know what you're talking about.

  • Weren't you on the Today's Show on NBC? 1:30 seconds?

  • my fastest was 35 seconds!!!

    this is crazy fast!!!

you should also watch Harris Chan's videos...

    he's really fast too...

    fastest in Canada!!!

  • Yu nakijima <- he is fastest right now his fastest was 6 seconds..

  • is there a method he uses or is it common sense and intelligence.and is there any video that can show me how to do this

  • Did you lubricate the cube?

  • damit who u solve the suserd thing

  • and**

  • dude

i blinked and stretched you finished

    my dog man

    my dog

  • you are greatness

  • i solve it like 13 seconds yay im as fast as him

  • watch carefully, he has no fingertricks except for his PLL, you should take that into consideration. ^^

  • no ur not...

  • OMG hes using his wrist to turn and yet he's so fast!

  • nice!

  • wow fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap

    ur awesome

  • wow that was fast i dont do rubik cubes but how did u do that?

  • YAYA you are finally back into competitions! dont let nakajima take your crown. fight for it =D

  • c koi ton chrono stp

  • ur an idiot...

  • ur dicks fake

  • lol

  • dude you have a freakin cool pc..:)

  • What do you lube your cube with?

  • I assume silicone. That's what all the top cubers use.

  • my best is 5:07:96 my friends is 1:36 but ill beat him one day

  • what timer is that

  • please help me how to get faster

  • avrerage is 7hrs

  • i was on your website, and you said that rubiks sel;ls very good diys, so do you still have to super glue nthe caps on?

  • You never super glue DIY caps on, the point of a DIY is to not haave them stuck on

  • i know but rubik's brand DIYs you have or had to

  • omg you must be good at cheackers or zelda lol

  • i just have 1 question...

what is the name of that program he used for the timer?

  • looks like JNetCube running in a small window.

  • Omg how are people so stupid?! I really give props for you, for putting up with these morons that can't read the description.

  • im average about 6 months, lol

  • nice

  • lol 2 day average

  • im average 22

  • im slow i average abou 35 sec.

  • me too

  • whut method do u use?

  • damn 13 avg...im still pretty slow...17-19 avg :(

  • 17-19? that's not slow! if i were that fast I'd be so happy. I'm still 1 min average

  • same here! 17-19 average is pretty fast, i would be happy if i were that fast, mine is 40-45 average mosto f the time

  • same here! 17-19 average is pretty fast, i would be happy if i were that fast, mine is 40-45 average mosto f the time

  • His finger tricks are awesome

  • Nice solve! I'm getting there, but it'll be a while before I get consistent sub-20s. My record is 22.90, so hopefully it'll be soon.

  • wuts a diy cube?

  • They send you the parts, you put it togethor, better than a regular cube you buy at walmart.

  • hey Dan, is that a DIY cube?

  • Dan can you teach me this method or algs ?

  • Why do you have that different color scheme? Is it because cube you had was like that or do you find this one to give you some sort of advantage?

  • good job

  • what method do u use?

  • He does the cross followed by the four corner edge pairs then orients the last layer with one algorithm and does the same for permuting it.

  • Nice solve, but just so you know it was +2, other then that I didn't see many/any flaws in it :)

  • no it wasnt if the wrong lines are crossing, then it's +2

  • that's the colour scheme of the rubik's cube made in the 80s i think. i have one but it's all torn up considering it was bought in the 80s

  • dan your style off cubing is much like jessica fridrich's style where you don't perform as much fingertricks but connect your thumb tricks to your wrists. to be honest, i like that style of cubing more than today's style of cubing.

  • Dan your rubik's cube is sticker or real..and what the name of your rubik's cube... plz reply...

  • Green opposite yellow o_o

    Nice solve though.

  • Very nice, could u tell me what method u use?

  • Looked to me like Fridrich.

  • he doesnt look like he's turning it fast, but he sure solves it faster!!! XD

  • what's the best way to lubricate the cube?

  • silcone xD

  • dan.... i... i think your my idol....

  • haha yeah i think so too lol

  • me 3 lol

  • HOLY SHIT THAT WAS FAST!

  • random you're an idiot, hes the 2003 world champ idiot

  • That's a compliment to him, he does solve it that quickly, look at some of his other videos, especially the ones where he's on tv, he can do it that quickly.

  • do u use the f2l trick

  • =O.

  • impressive indeed... are those cubesmith stickers btw?

  • wow dan...ure too used to stackmats that u hit both hands on the table :)

    Fridrich F2L?

  • lol i noticed that too. it looked weird smackin the table =p

  • well Dan first of all i will like to say u are one of the idol to me for rubik's n second is too all the cubers there if u wanna get under a minute learn fridrich method n learn new oll and pll after i learn this three my average from 1min10sec to now 55secs.. i still need to practice fridrich because im kinda slow at it.

  • wat method did u use?

where did u learn the method?

AT LEAST GIVE ME A URL ADDRESS!!

  • Check out speedcubing dot com.

  • i tried that URL but i didnt really get it

  • because i hav been cubing for 2 weeks and i usually get around in between the 1 minute and the teens so should i start using the fridrich method?

  • hey could u tell me wat method ur using like the fridrich or something?

  • wait.... i saw 13..... oh well. 12 it is..

  • i didn't count "12". i counted 10 ....

  • A cubing legend in his own time!

  • that's insane.

  • Hey This morning he came over to my school.

  • really???!!! was he a student there? did they introduce you to him any everything???? was he famous that time??? ......... (sorry for the questions)
