  • Wait isnt that season where he scored 6points?

  • I remember Anthony Carter played for the Heat in 1999-2000 and in their RD 2 playoff Matchup vs the Knicks Game 3 at NY he had a great gamewinning shot in that game as well. Anyone got that on youtube?

  • Anthony Carter is really underrated. Clutch shots, good passer, and look at his performance against the Celts in Game 4 this year. not saying he's the best, but he should be notable.

  • Floater from the free throw line off balance nice...

  • What a terrible shot to take.

  • that was a great call

  • knicks have carter now, he looks like rev run

  • RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!

  • wait why did Anthony Carter take this shot haha? Im so confused. but awesome

  • Melo, Chauncey, AI, and ANTHONY CARTER ENDS UP WITH IT ? Who the hell was inbounding ?

  • @MiopTop Ur right, but Chauncey wasnt in the NUggets yet, he was traded for AI.

  • @MiopTop how can chauncey and AI be on the same team they were traded for each other.

  • @damo3n

    Sorry I didn't know that =)

  • what was he even doing on the floor?? lol

  • @wholetthejewsout0 exactly lol

  • @wholetthejewsout0 he was playing basketball dumbass

  • @prepies123 no fucking shit u stupid retard...but cuz he only sees time during blowouts and this was a close game u must be related to the nigga to be defending him like that

  • @wholetthejewsout0 he's my uncle man and yo said that he sucks ?

but im sure you suck at basketball , you are just tryin to pretend that you are great and and stuff ....

  • he will be a gr8 player coz combine carmelo ANTHONY + vinCe CARTER = anthony carter and i kinda miss ALLEN IVERSON

  • @jacobkyler18 that was terrible

  • he will be a gr8 player coz combine carmelo ANTHONY + vinCe CARTER = anthony carter

  • JR Smith should of been in the starting5 not Anthony Carter he sucks

  • WHEN I SAW THAT MELO AN AI WERE IN THE PLAY I GOT CRAZY!

  • i just farted and it smells really bad

  • the last guy to resort to lol

  • i bet when the ball went in david stern was like : fuck the rockets we put the time from 1.2 to ZERO

  • Oh Melo couldn't believe it he was like this nigga is gonna get us fukked from tha inside

  • man I hate Anthony Carter.

wish the Nuggets cut him already.

  • wen tha ball wen in der wuz11.1 seconds den it went straight 2 zero lol how did dat happen idc ima nuggets fan

  • How come he doesn't play nearly as much as he use to now??

  • i bet when he was shooting AI and Melo were like: fuck this idiot GIVE ME THE BALL

  • his career highlight..

  • i like how the least offensively skilled offensive basketball player on the court took and made the shot. It reminds me of everytime fucking walton takes ANYTHING but a wide open layup.

  • lmao

  • Lucky dude that nigga can't shoot

  • the clock will stop after it hits the floor..

  • Why question the NBA.

  • wait.. did anyone else notice the clock? o.O it was at 1 then BAM 0

  • it went from 1 to 00.8

  • Ahhhh, makes sense

  • career highlight

  • lol with melo and a.i on the court y duz anthony carter have the ball nice shot tho

  • what the hell is up with the clock? Rockets should have 1 more shto available..

  • i see ya in the background wafer what up boy.

  • wow that was a nice shot but theye shoudve been one second left

  • Clock Should've stopped at 1.2 Seconds...

Plenty of time for the Rockets.....

    NBA: Where David Stern Happens?

  • But they always stop the clock after the ball hits the ground. or at least that's what i've noticed.

  • wells sucks!

  • look at the clock. as soon as the basketball goes in, it goes from 1.0 to 0.

  • it went to 0.8

  • yeah thats cheap the rockets got screwed over

  • they need to replace this guy

  • and why is that?

  • Because billups is a great influence and a great teacher. At the same time, billups is getting old, they need a young player with great talent to pair up with biullups. While this guy isn't terrible, he won't replace billups once he's gone.

  • But this guy will be gone before billups he is 2 years older than him.

  • My point is, they're not taking advantage of billups being here right now. If they keep this guy, what happens when billups is gone? They have no starting PG. But what would happen if they paired billups up right now with a young pg? Billiups would teach the young one, until he retires, and then you'll have a talented, well taught started PG. That's my point.

  • ty lawson

  • i have one question...... why didn't carmelo or jrsmith took the shot????he was feeling it or....what?

  • Pretty cool.

  • pause at 0:18..its clearly..the net moved..means the ball dropped with 1.3 SECONDS left on the clock

  • no ur wrong it must be .6 cuz it should go over net

  • whoa whoa whoa....look at the clock when he's shooting the ball. when the ball goes in at 0:11 in the video the clock jumps from one second to zero right away. there should be at least 1 sec left on the clock

  • no it didn't it said 0.8 seconds left

  • ohhhhhh i seeeee haha

  • i agree

  • Your body builds muscle naturally in response to strenuous activity. But if your daily routine doesn't involve challenging your muscles to grow, how do you trigger the muscle-building process? It doesn't happen overnight (as any bodybuilder can tell you) but you'll be well on your way to "bulking up" if you follow these steps consistently.

  • Ironic how they have clutch scorer's like AI and Melo and Carter takes the shot, reminds me of when Derek Fisher took the game winner against SA instead of kobe.

  • It's Kevin Harlan, not Marv Albert.

  • marv albert...the best

  • Plzzz click into my channel and watch me and my dad play some gr8 basketball ;)

  • apparently billups is the kind of guy that leads his team to victory. iverson does score and pass, but also misses a lot more and commits too many turnovers

  • they had melo and A.I.. yet they went to anthony carter. oh well, atleast he made it

  • Did the white guy kiss him at the end?

    I hope not

  • i always thought najera was a bit on the gay side...

  • Dude, Najera is a badass.

Too bad he's with the Net's now.

Denver's bench would have been even deeper if we had him.

  • wtf when he shot the ball went in there was 1.2 seconds rockets could have won!!!...i feel robbed

  • the clock stopped at 00.8, it always stops a bit too late

  • yeah AC, you the man!

  • he still sucks balls.

  • i love that announcer he gets really into the game especially with his ugly exiting voice:OHH right beetween the eyes

  • 0.8 seconds left? only if houston had Roy.

  • yup lol

  • Right between the eyes!!

  • in that situation you would expect melo or ai to have the ball but last year we had two people step up and hit game winners this one and linas klezia against the kings im glad we kept them both but sad we had to get rid of camby oh well we have to have faith in who the nuggets have now and hopefully the front office will have something up their sleeve and make one more move that nuggets fans can cheer about

  • Click on my channel to find the website to my b-ballforum,just for elite basketball fans, please join and be active,You can sign-up at the upper left of the page.thank you.

  • and we fucking lost ai. but at least billups is gonna at least lead denver to the second round of the playoffs or maybe the conference finals

  • wow, this is not something most people would expect out of Carter

  • Man what a play.

  • nice shot

  • yeah, but it worked and thats important =)!

  • wer-are-team

    go nuggets! love you!

  • anywho that was tigh8t

  • Sounds like the commentator's thinking about some nasty shit. "Right between the eyes?" Wtfux?

  • yeah Kevin and Marv sound simular. But I can tell that is Kevin. Marv is with YES Network. This was TNT So was probaby Kevin.

  • Somebody should post a video of when Anthony Carter hit a shot from behind the backboard (I think in the '99 playoffs when he was with the Heat.) I was outside playing that game, and my mom told me about it, but I never got to see it.

  • right between the eyes!!

  • No thats Kevin Harley he does every game that comes on TNT

  • anthony carter is wac

  • is the announcer the Houston announcers ? cuz i like the way he screams lol (hes also in NBA 2k8 and that game rocks)

  • naw, hes TNT's Kevin Harlan (its either him or Marv Albert, my mind slips me)

  • sounds like marv and kerr...

houston has bill worrell and clyde drexler/matt bullard...

  • kerr..? i guess the suns allow him to do commentating?? haha no its harlan and doug collins..good duo

  • anthony carter looks like kenny smith

  • he said "right between the eyes" in a cool way

  • chee heee ac carter u the man

  • HE IS A BUM ANYWAY

  • UR A BUM

  • that's why he is in the starting line-up.

  • hawaii motha fucka'z what u know bout dat??

  • Man is Kevin Harlan annoying: "Right between the eyes!"- dumb expression.

That shot Carter hit vs the Knicks that went over the backboard in the playoffs a few years back was even better. Can't find that anywhere...

  • i play basketball and that is a hard shot to make.

  • im sure more than half of us watching nba vids play basket ball......and once u get ur man off u its an easy shot....add a lil preasure and it gets harder...but still wit otu a dfender on u its easy...

  • Former university of Hawaii stand out right there, awesome to see him do that.

  • numba 6 was jukeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

  • lucky ass

  • A great way to finish off a double OT classic!

  • nuggets is my favorite team and its the best team!i knew he was going to make taht shot!

  • i saw this whole game and i want da nuggets 2 win and they did. i was jumping up and down

carmelo anthony is my fa player

    im from denver

  • nice

  • "oh he got it! right between the eyes!" classic harlem, one of the best game host in the world

  • Props to the University of Hawaii alumni, A. Carter!

    Go Warriors, beat Georgia!

  • If T-Mac plays, Rockets wins!

  • but he didnt so they didnt....

  • There is no way of knowing that, depending on match-ups and game flow. Rockets have looked average with and without T-Mac, while the Nuggets have been solid all year.

  • anthony carter

  • that was ugly ass hit tho.. the leaner.. his hand flicked left

  • yea parker traveled, he picked up his pivot foot before the other one when he went to shoot.. w/e

  • I was wondering when another voice of reason was going to chime in.

  • wtf is wrong with u?? as soon as he got the ball, he stopped with hes left foot, meaning his right is his pivot foot. he pumped, got the defender in the air, and leaned in with HIS RIGHT FOOT wen he took the shot

  • it doesn't matter how he stopped, what matters is that he got the inbound pass..dribbled, and stopped w/ both feet on the ground, and stopped dribbling, at this point he picks up his RIGHT foot and moves forward, keeping his left foot down this would make his left foot the pivot foot and thus this foot can NOT leave the ground unless the right foot is already in the air or they both go at the same time

  • and then after he picks up his right foot, he puts it down, and when he goes up for the shot he picks up his LEFT foot first, with the RIGHT one still on the ground...that is where he travels

  • o, mellow19, good point, it looks like he traveled cuz he leaned in with his RIGHT foor den picked up his left WHILE his right was on the ground. If his feet got of the ground at the same time, that would be ok. But i guess since his left foot got up like a split second before his right did, the ref didnt notice it.

  • lol either way the refs are sometimes watching the game instead of the players

  • Yeah, I understand that 'to err is human', but All the refs knew coming out of the time out the clock situation. With a second left, someone should have been watching the shooter/defender.

Situations like these are why they have instituted instant replay for shots at the end of quarters. I think they should also include the replay for critical endings like this.

No team should have to take a defeat because 'The ref wasn't looking'.

  • wow amazing shot

    GO WIZ

  • when i watched that game i thought bonzi wells was gonna get fould but he didnt touch him and some how carter got it in.

  • Youtube is censoring people who they think is to controvercial.

They are not having them on the most discussed list, viewed list, top rated list and so on.

STOP THE CENSORING YOUTUBE! This is fascism! The fabolous captnoawesome is beeing censored

by youtube. So are many others. AND FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER! JUST BECAUSE ITS NOT POLITICAL CORRECT!

SPREAD THE WORD! STOP youtube- FASCISM!

  • WATCH THE REPLAY PEOPLE:

    1)He picks up his dribble.

    2) He designates his LEFT foot the pivot.

    3) He jumps off the ground (that means up in the air) LIFTING HIS PIVOT FOOT.

    4) He comes down again on his RIGHT FOOT.

    5) He then JUMPS using his Right foot, NOT HIS PIVOT.

Hey we don't have to have world peace if no one wants it, but can we at least all agree when we see 'THE REPLAY'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • his feet leave the ground simultaneously or nano seconds apart. Way too close to call. Looked like a good shot to me. It went in.

    HAWAII BASKETBALL REPRESENT

  • Hey man,

You must be a Nuggets fan. If you can't see that he jumps off his right foot than you are just deceiving yourself.

Are you really telling me that he jumped off of both feet evenly?

Dude he leaves his left pivot, so he can jump off of the right foot. If he doesn't do it, Wells makes him eat it. The Defender forced him into a violation that the refs. overlooked. End of Story.

I'm not going to continue this debate if you can see something that is clearly BLACK but call it WHITE.

  • i watch it and the shot looks good. the replay is slowed down so basically he jumped off at the SAME TIME ON BOTH FOOT less a few mini seconds off difference which is natural. nobody can jumped off at the same time there will always be a few mini second difference

  • B. Wells didn't overplay his man. He knew that legally Carter was committed to playing/jumping off of his left (Pivot) foot.

I am amazed that people can't see that he stepped inside (away from the defender) and jumped off of his right foot. It is clear plain as day right on the screen, . . . . HELLO!

  • I guess we just have to agree to disagree.

But there is a lesson to be learned here. For one reason or other, you and I see the SAME THING in real life/time, but in our minds eye we actually see two DIFFERENT THINGS.

'It', in a micro-cosm, is a reflection of why we have timult/conflict in the world.

    Chow

  • but if he didn't move the front part of his left foot then it was not a violation. So I'll have to say that there is not enough visual evidence to overturn the call and the play stands lol

  • I have used my pause button here on youtube and from both camera angles I have been able to show:

    1) Left foot off the ground

    2) Right foot on the ground

    3) Ball still in his hands

For me it's all the proof I need.

Look, like I said, it wouldn't be the first time a player got away with something. M.J. used to always push the defender off of him to gain space. (Bryon Russell -Utah Jazz 97 Finals).

  • No planting the left foot doesn't make it the pivot foot because he was picking up his dribble as he did that. Which would make the next foot he moved his pivot foot.

  • Sorry man,

If that's your call, . . . . that his RIGHT foot is the pivot, than he traveled with the ball even before the 'shot' becomes an issue.

  • Hey BlkStunna8,

    I love this debate.

Hey, do me a favor. Pause the video at the point where Carter has just pump faked and brought B. Wells off the ground. At that point he has already discontinued his dribble and faked a shot. He proceeds to pick up his right foot and move out of B. Wells way. This means that the pivot is his LEFT. There is no other way of calling it. He then proceeds to lift his left foot off the ground so he can jump with his right. Why is this not obvious?

  • MELO THE BEST

  • WATCH THE REPLAY PEOPLE:

    1)He picks up his dribble.

    2) He designates his LEFT foot the pivot.

    3) He jumps off the ground (that means up in the air) LIFTING HIS PIVOT FOOT.

    4) He comes down again on his RIGHT FOOT.

    5) He then JUMPS using his Right foot, NOT HIS PIVOT.

Hey we don't have to have world peace if no one wants it, but can we at least all agree when we see 'THE REPLAY'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he hopped u retard just stfu and noe wut ur talking about before u speak

  • Yeah, Chick Hearn used to call it "The Bunny Hop in the Pea Patch", wherein the referees usually blow the whistle.

So you're right I agree with you, he was hoppin' right down the bunny trail to get away from B. Wells.

This ain't street ball and that's why I love it.

  • It definetly was not a walk he took one dribble and both feet were on the ground he then pump faked pivoted with his right foot and jumped for the shot. Had his left foot returned to the floor or dragged then it would have been a walk

  • Come mon guys, This is basic highschool/college/NBA rules. Kudos to him for not getting caught, but once he picks up his dribble and designates his left foot the 'Pivot' foot, he is NOT ALLOWED TO Pick it up and come down on a different foot. IT is clear hear. HE picked up his pivot foot landed on his right foot and took the shot jumping off of his right foot. What is it you guys don't see here?

  • Sorry BlkStunna8,

You may not realize it but you just made my case. You say he pivoted with his 'RIGHT' foot and jumped. You are correct. Only problem is 2 seconds earlier he was pivoting with his LEFT. YOU CAN'T CHANGE YOUR PIVOT FOOT (NBA 101)

  • Alright i've watched this replay over and over again and i see what your talking about but he actually didn't pivot his left foot he pumped faked. In the act of pump faking he lifted the back of his left foot as if to shoot. But he never moved it in such a way to designate it as his pivot foot. Had all of his left foot left the ground then it would have been a travel. See what i'm saying? Actually I looked again and i can't tell if he lifted the front part.

  • Hey BlkStunna8,

Watch when he picks up his dribble, he plants his left (pivot) foot and moves his right foot to get away from B. Wells. This in no un-certain terms establishes his 'left' foot as 'pivot'. At this point he better not drag or lift his left foot from position or it is a clear violation.

Some guys here are saying he jumped off of both feet equally. I don't know what replay they're watching.

  • jaredcicon, it doesn't matter, it would only be traveling if he picked his other foot up and landed, if he is in the air with the ball and doesn't land with it, its not a travel.

  • Wrong UzerName,

He CAN'T pick his pivot foot up off the ground, step forward and jump with his right foot. Use your pause button, you will be able to pause at a point where his pivot foot is 'up', his right foot is planted, and he still has the ball in his hand.

The evidence is in the shot. He in no way shot from both feet. He jumped off of one foot, not two.

  • sorry jared, i didn't pause it, i did afterwards and realized i was wrong, sorry. but i cant erase my comment, so yea.

  • It's all good man (UzerName69). I just had to give props to a good defender. B. Wells is one of the few players who can give Kobe B. trouble. B. Wells didn't overplay anyone. He guessed correctly where Carter would have to shoot from. In fact if you look at the replay, he still almost got the block. I frankly don't even like B. Wells. I am a Laker fan. But if an Apple is an Apple, I got to call it that way.

  • Patrick Ewing would ALWAYS take THREE steps in the lane before shooting, and Allen Iverson regularly carries the ball in his 'famous' cross over'. I don't hold anything against Carter. But people shouldn't think that B. Wells got 'jooked'.

  • GOD, i LOVE basketball!

  • lol ill agree you guys are durfs lmao...if u knew NBa rules AND streetball if u tried any streetball moves u'd have all these calls because its a big difference i kno becaus i play by both.

  • Yeah, if he had jumped off his left foot he's cool, but by taking that extra step and jumping off his right foot he traveled.

    B. Wells is a pretty good defender and knew where he had to be. If I was allowed to take extra steps even 'I' could pump fake and shake an NBA defender.

Refs can be weak (blind) at times. This was one of those times.

They regularly looked the other way with Pat Ewings traveling and Allen Iversons 'carrying'.

  • ur alowed to take more than one step u fuck off, and he only took one

  • You obviously don't ball. After you pick up your dribble. You must designate one of your feet a pivot foot. THAT FOOT can NOT come off the ground and replaced by the OTHER foot for a shot. Read the rules.

BTW. When people have no argument they usually refer to profanity. Instead of raising your 'youtube' voice, why not re-inforce your argument?

If you don't come back with something civil, I will disengage from our chat.

  • If he was running already and caught a pass, than yes, he can take TWO (2), zwie, dalawa, dos. I know it's Christmas weekend but try and lay off the EggNog when you post.

  • would u have made the call live with the play going that fast?

    thats what i thought

  • Boy, you guys aren't getting it are you. The reason why after 60 years they instituted the instant replay at the close of halves was because teams got tired of getting RIPPED OFF in close game situations like this.

Though the use of the replay is mainly to see if 'buzzer beaters' (players hand contact with the ball) are legitimate, don't be surprised if it soon includes player performance issues just like these.

    Later

  • Hey bobissocool1,

I believe that review of ENTIRE Plays, in the end of halves should be the norm, (and 'will' become the norm sooner than later).

If you were honest you would admit to times in the past where your favorite team was RIPPED off because of a ref 'missed' call, or a 'no' call.

    thats what i thought
