Guys top your bitching about which platform is better. This game is awesome no matter what platform it's played on, and the fact that it's on console means that a whole host of new players will be able to enjoy the game too. It can only be a good thing :)
@MoterCrozz Linear games, honestly, I enjoy them as well. Your objective is laid in front of you so there isn't any confusion to what you need to do, that and they have faster pacing. They also allow me to enjoy someone else's story rather than me making my own because I don't always want to use my imagination. I enjoy open ended games as well but linear games are fine too.

Even with knowledge, sometimes starting a PC game can take hours, consoles are more user friendly and if the game won't start, its because the disc is broken, or your console is broken, not because it isn't compatible with your PC. I can't help but say I don't give a crap for Arma, just another war game these days (Isn't Arma 3rd person, and Killzone 2 first person?). I play games for fun, not for graphics.

@colin122222222 I remembered that Crysis actually was linear. The open areas were just eye candy and heck, the route was already laid out for you. There wasn't any exploration involved, it was a linear game with more room. Crysis 2 was more linear in level design but the extra abilites in Crysis 2 made it more diverse since you could mark targets, kick a car, slide etc. Slap it with the ability to buy upgrades and you have a good sequel. But if you enjoyed the first one more, more power to you.
@MoterCrozz I never said that every game should be a non exclusive. What I'm trying to say is why get upset if Crysis is going to the consoles? PC gamers should be glad that more people can play it for themselves. Not everyone owns a high end PC so guess what? It went to consoles because EA or Crytek (I'm not sure which one) would make more money out of it, thats why it went non exclusive. What I find quite odd though, is that the first Halo & 2 are available on the PC as well.

@MoterCrozz Aside from beautiful graphics (which don't look as good as the PC trailers) and better controls for the PC, the gameplay isn't anything amazing, new, or special. Its basically a linear game with at times, dumb A.I. Its sequel Crysis 2 was a lot better in terms of gameplay. It's not bad (its fun and I enjoyed it), but I find it ridiculous that every PC fanboy thinks this game is groundbreaking just because it was release for the PC first.

@majema007 I have to disagree, Crysis one was much better in my opinion. yes it had a linear storyline, but it was not a linear game in that you could choose how you went about completing a mission, you could pick your route, and go about it as you please. which is something that crysis 2 lacked. and Crysis had a completely original storyline, yes aliens have been done many times before, but Crysis did it in a whole new way that was very original. but again, just my opinion.

Yes I have heard of machinima.Nothing impressive,most of it consists of stupid overused jokes.While there are good ones like RvB and Arby and the Chief,Phil(notice how I'm mentioning only halo machinima) the others are media core.
Bought this yesterday on ps3 and IMO it should've stayed pc exclusive...I wasn't disappointed in console version but that's probably because I wasn't expecting much.
I just played this and i can honestly say i see why this game is called amazing cause it is. I never could afford a pc to run it. So this is my first chance playing it and it is amazing. Graphics are best on the xbox. And crysis is 4 years old and is still the best looking pc game/ game in general period. Amazing what crytek did with 1/4 of the power. Nice!
Say what you want about PC this or FPS that, but Crysis 1 on consoles is easily one of the best looking games I've ever seen. AS WELL AS having some of the best gameplay ever. Crysis 2 blew me away with its great story, solid and tactical gameplay and phenomenal graphics. Crysis 1 on PC was enjoyable, but without the best PC it lacks a true impact. Crysis 1 on consoles is up there with the likes of Killzone 2 and MW2 in terms of graphics and gameplay. Amazing.

@HellsmithStudios Dude I own all 3 systems, ps3, 360 and a new PC (oc to 5ghz quad, 6970xfire etc. Pretty beastly) and I can honestly say that crysis and warhead running at 60fps constant with all the fruit 1920x1080 on PC beats anything else on PC! So trust me when I say I have never seen a game on either console come close to the graphical bar set by this game...although ps3s uncharted 2 is damn good by any measure and deserves mention. Will be interesting to see how close crytek can get this.
@sammyflinders What? Uncharted 2? Killzone 3 looks lightyears ahead of Uncharted 2. Gears 3 looks better aswell. Gameplay wise, all 3 of them are much better than Crysis though.

@michaeldelaney It still managed to sell 1 million copies it's first year then another 2 million the next 2 years after then 1.5mil with Warhead. Ironically games released the same year like The Witcher and STALKER SC were highly successful for the devs then Crysis was for Crytek XD. Another thing they were expecting the game to like 6 mil. Strange all that piracy and they still managed to have a bigger budget for Crysis 2 and obtain Free radical studios.

If you have played Crysis on low there are no shaders, shadows, or decent water affects on low.
You can clearly see the there are soft shadows, light rays (Post Processing effects), very high shaders on the guns and trees, Water is also very good looking.
@Nomad2243 agreed. The game looks quite stunning, and the improved explosion and light effects look very impressive. True, there are some screens that show less complex foliage than a high end pc vesio, but overall it still looks fantastic for a console game. Pc gamers are just mad that console gamers are finally getting the chance to play this fantastic game. Pc fanboys are worse than Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony combined.

I just played this and i can honestly say i see why this game is called amazing cause it is. I never could afford a pc to run it. So this is my first chance playing it and it is amazing. Graphics are best on the xbox. And crysis is 4 years old and is still the best looking pc game/ game in general period. Amazing what crytek did with 1/4 of the power. Nice!

Say what you want about PC this or FPS that, but Crysis 1 on consoles is easily one of the best looking games I've ever seen. AS WELL AS having some of the best gameplay ever. Crysis 2 blew me away with its great story, solid and tactical gameplay and phenomenal graphics. Crysis 1 on PC was enjoyable, but without the best PC it lacks a true impact. Crysis 1 on consoles is up there with the likes of Killzone 2 and MW2 in terms of graphics and gameplay. Amazing.

i just finished download it on psn and ive been playing it for about 2 hours,call me stupid or anything but i swear to you guys,the graphics is fenomenal,i think it even beat killzone 3 graphics and maybe,MAYBE its on par with uncharted 2,but i think crysis win slightly better,u can throw away crysis 2 now and just play this game,this game is great guys BUT u cannot save,u can only rely on checkpoint,and the ai is rather moron!

I played and beat this on the PC and loved it.
Never even touched MP tbh single player was enough to keep me busy.
I never played crysis 2 but the graphics looked like shit because of the city settings.
Crysis 1 truly shows off the engine because your in the jungle with the trees and water all the time.

@HellsmithStudios Dude I own all 3 systems, ps3, 360 and a new PC (oc to 5ghz quad, 6970xfire etc. Pretty beastly) and I can honestly say that crysis and warhead running at 60fps constant with all the fruit 1920x1080 on PC beats anything else on PC! So trust me when I say I have never seen a game on either console come close to the graphical bar set by this game...although ps3s uncharted 2 is damn good by any measure and deserves mention. Will be interesting to see how close crytek can get this.

@michaeldelaney It still managed to sell 1 million copies it's first year then another 2 million the next 2 years after then 1.5mil with Warhead. Ironically games released the same year like The Witcher and STALKER SC were highly successful for the devs then Crysis was for Crytek XD. Another thing they were expecting the game to like 6 mil. Strange all that piracy and they still managed to have a bigger budget for Crysis 2 and obtain Free radical studios.

And Consoles have much more of AAA titles in last few years. I bought ps3 last year, and before that I've played mainly on pc , for like 12 years.Well since quake 2 and unreal era. Thing is that I had much more fun with ps3 , mainly becuase of 4 players split screen games, and some game genres that I now really enjoy.

I aways played crysis maxed 16xQAA out with my old gtx 295 (Dual Chip) But my whole PC fried 6month ago. i'm still crying but hey life goes on. But, what i said is true, PC gamer community are mad against Crytek and thats for a good reason.

The graphics aren't on Medium. Because om Medium you don't have the Light rays like you see in this gameplay trailer.
I can also tell the shaders are very High, and so are the shadows.
Its a mixture of Very High, High, Medium, and low settings. and you can tell its specially optimized for the Xbox.
you can't make the graphics look quite like that on the PC version no matter what you do.
but onto my question. Why do you care that its coming out on the Console?

If you have played Crysis on low there are no shaders, shadows, or decent water affects on low.
You can clearly see the there are soft shadows, light rays (Post Processing effects), very high shaders on the guns and trees, Water is also very good looking.

True, there are some screens that show less complex foliage than a high end pc vesio, but overall it still looks fantastic for a console game. Pc gamers are just mad that console gamers are finally getting the chance to play this fantastic game. Pc fanboys are worse than Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony combined.
