It continues to baffle me how a carpetbagger like Tom McClintock ever became the Republican candidate for a district as rich in history and with as many native sons and daughters as the Gold Country. Perhaps in Southern California it's acceptable to elect to office representatives who don't know or care to know what it's like to be from somewhere as special as Auburn. But I have to believe that I'm not the only native son to be offended that a southerner wants to represent our interests in D.C.

This guy is a carpetbagger. He lives in Thousand Oaks, California, yet he's running for Congress in Placer and Nevada Counties, 400 miles away!
