My opinion is Dravid is an excellent Test Cricket material. But, I don't think he is suitable for the 50 overs version and definitely not for the T20 format.

misleading title ! he's a legend but this is not fair to the likes of tendulkar, laxman and ganguly. the thing with indian cricket is we rarely get team efforts. if sachin fires, dravid fails, when dravid faills its usually a team effort as he's more of a partnership guy.

it is a pity how the BCCI treats the best of our players. It is filled with hypocrites. They say that they only want youngsters in the team and expect us to believe that Sachin and Sehwag and young. Its a pity how Dravid will make a silent exit from world cricket because he was too much of a gentleman to make a huge hullabaloo in the media. Its a pity that when Dravid retires no one will be able to fill his shoes and BCCI will wonder why India has no stability in their middle order. Its a pity..

If you look at Dravid when he was younger, even in oneday limited overs cricket he got a number of records in patnerships, that says alot about his batting then which was alot more aggressive but going on in years he adapted to a newer style which was to be more defensive, that's a clever cricketer

I am in love with him since I watched him play England in his first test match. and now even more after watching the great professionalism and human qualities he displays off the field. lot of the youngsters in the Indian side can learn from his attitude. having said that "life is not fair" has never really felt like watching a live movie unless you look at this guys great qualities and then look at the media and so many "dhoni and himesh reshmiya fans". dumbasses.

i completly endorse ur views. hez is truly a team man. all got chances than required, but rahul was dropped in the last odi against the aussies just cuz he 'failed' in a few ODIs. That's unfair. On top of that Vengsarkar's insulting statements directed esp towards Rahul was unwarranted. Someone of Rahul's stature do not need to be reminded of responsibilities. All victories esp away victories have been set-up by him....we can't have such poor memory.

i believe he is a great captain too- he did his part right. the fielding positions were right and his bowlers did well. the captain has little to do with a batsman's performance. it was the batsmen that failed, not the fielders or the bowlers.

again, he was the same guy when india won 95% of its mataches in 2005. everyone was saying he was one of the best captains india ever had. it was just cause the batsmen were amonst runs
