hi bro, i used Overture 4.0 for arranging and composing songs. it's a great software that supports many major VST plugin such as Kontakt. but it depends on your needs, if you want something less complicated then you can use a notation software like this or Sibelius, Finale will do great. for pro they will use Cakewalk, Steinberg Cubase, and Pro Tools which is widely used in the US. i usually edit my songs in Adobe Audition 3.0
