@ShitSoda......I hope the pics that are shown with the lyrics as they are sung helped your understanding of the song. That was my aim to do so and I believe I have achieved that goal. Thanks for the comment.
@ShitSoda This song came out in May 1970 on Motown's Gordy Records label as Gordy 7099 and written by Norman Whitfield & Barrett Strong about the way life was in 1970 political-wise and is featured on "Motown Master Recordings-Original Artist Karaoke" karaoke CD made by the Singing Machine
Amen. this song is so relevent. take your pick with what phrase works for you..."vote for me and i'll set you free" "the sale of pills are at an all time high"
@GeorgeVreelandHill.....thanks for the comments George. This song has made a small comeback on the small screen. ABC has a show, Detroit 1-8-7. They have played Ball of Confusion on the trailers to the show.
I think this is from their All the million sellers album. Listen to 2:00. He says "Headed" twice. On that cassett tape I have I hear this and never heard it again on any CD or other recording. I thought it was a defect in my tape. He says it here too.
I didn't understand this song when I was a kid, now I do, and it's pretty scary

If this song came out today, it would be number one.
It speaks for all people.
Some songs tell the truth.
The problem is that many people don't listen.
That is why the world is still a ball of confusion.
