I can't answer. I have a mechanic in S. FL that I use for regular maintenance. I haven't had any mechanical issues in 40,000 miles / 3 years. Two warranty items when my blinker broke and cable to my side bag ... both replaced by dealer.
You made a great decision from the Harley to the Wing...but dude...that music...DAMN...That crap has got to go. The Goldwing is NOT a friggin Road King...that is some of that Harley crap.
Buddy U came off better with this than any else HD. Honda never put to the market less than a perfect quality bikes. But this disgusting dump country music, U would choose something better, thats not go well for this bike!

No. And the HD was $36,000 USD. It was nice but just not the same. I don't care what others ride. Just ride safe and enjoy. Take care.

Stopping at red lights is a good thing here in Florida. In some cases it is wise to slow/stop at the greens. The elderly drivers here can't see the lights and the young are too busy sipping their Starbucks, programming their iPods while looking at their GPS to be bothered with the lights.
I ride a lot & like power - GL1800 0-60 4.4 and 1/4 mile 13.52. As much as I loved my HD's I could not keep up with my wife on her DL1000. I can now. GL Handling - type "yellow wolf" & hit the search button. That is all the street cred I need. Cheers & thanks for the post.
The figures I quoted are from a 2001 (1st year) test ride at MotorcyclistOnline. AutoWeek posted an article on the '08 Wing on 01/02/08 stating 12.78 @ 103.3 MPH. I've seen high 10s & 11s from individuals in blogs, but I don't know the credibility of those posts. Once I caught a fish this big, right? I think the GL1800 with the right rider can pull high 11s to low 12s - my opinion.
i like harleys, i had 3 of them my last harley was a 07 streetbob,one day i was sitting a light,and my bike started to heat up then it ran rough,so i said thats it i had it,i bought a honda vtx 1800 i love it. but my next bike will be a goldwing black.
My HD Ultra two up and loaded down was under powered for what I desired. I test drove the GL1800 and had the HD for sale within a week. Not to mention the heat the Ultra produced with their lowers. Dollar-for-dollar the GL is a lot of bike. Good luck and safe riding.

i thought wings were faster than 13 sec. since the 1500 valkyrie does 12.5 sec i thought the 1800 would be alot faster.
