ja hast richtig gesehen ist ein präsentationsmodell von kmw mit stinger und diversen technischen upgrades sodass er z.b. von einem kommandostand aus gesteuert werden kann die aufrüstung deutscher gepard auf diesem stand ist nicht geplant eher soll der gepard damit für das ausland attraktiver werden und dann könnten auch andere länder außer deutschland, niederlande und belgien den gepard kaufen

That´s definitely wrong! The Bundeswehr dissociates itself from traditions of the Wehrmacht, it´s war crimes and leaders. Just those parts of the troops who were participating in the resistance against the Nazi regime are official parts of the tradition!

The Bundeswehr defines itself as a parliamentary army; armed forces with democratic roots!

Those men who are proud by association are nowadays seen as rotten tomatoes. Our armed forces consist of "Citoyen" in uniform. It´s undisputed that war crimes where comitted not only by the Wehrmacht. But this fact doesn´t moderate the heavy guilt of the nazi soldiers on their disastrous march across (especially eastern) Europe. The modern german army is not comparable with the Wehrmacht - neither in matters of power nor in terms of rules of engagement! War is hell...

All I wanted to point out is the fact that there´s no Wehrmacht tradition line the Bundeswehr follows. That´s not my personal view; that´s an official agenda of a democratic post facist state! Reinhard Günzel, a former german general of the KSK had to leave the army without honour after publishing a book stating similarities of the KSK to a so called "Brandenburgers" divsion of the Wehrmacht. My uncle is a "Kampfschwimmer" and would hate to be compared to soldiers of facist Germany!

Filbinger war kein Nazi, allerdings war er opfer einer sehr bedenklichen und verlogenen kampagne. bin nicht sicher was du mit den 2 staaten meinst. aber die heere von (Ö+BRD) stehen in Nachfolge zur Wehrmacht.

in der realität wird sie aber gepflegt und kein gesetz kann etwas dagegen ausrichten. leider gibt es auch auswüchse in der form einer dumpfen "romantik", aber das könnte man umso besser verhindern, wenn man einen vernünftigen umgang mit dieser zeit des deutschen soldatentums findet.

@wotanderwilde intention is equally important. The USAAF and RAF were targeting strategic objectives to win the war. Germany was trying to exterminate a race the two are not even comparable. Death camps and strategic bombings are not equal. Death camps used force labor and tortured people, i'm sure u've heard of the angel of death in the nazi camps. Carpet bombings were a legitimate means of warfare; death camps had no strategic value and was a genocide.

The method was different because the goal was different. Win a war to free oppressed people versus killing off a race. In the USAAF's and RAF's case, the ends justified the means. This was not so in the case of the German death camps.
