  • Awesome! dude we listen to this 3rd period in music Mr.Jhonson likes it and i like bluegrass now ^.^

  • I just love me some Josh Shilling and Mountain Heart yeeehawww

  • The banjo player is pretty good with a guy with only a thumb!!!

  • i like duct tape

  • Just love these guys! Yeeehawww from NC !

  • Yeeeee Hawwwwwwww!

  • Where are they from? :)

  • @Milky5HollyWood the banjo picker Barry Abernathy is from blue ridge ga. I played music with him. He is one of my dads good friends

  • Play on Josh & Mountain Heart - We love that Bluegrass !!

  • Bluegrass at it's best

  • Enough to make a metal head (me) like country. These guys are great.

  • TOO MANY GOOD SONGS TO EVEN CLAIM A FAVE...

  • @gdazey1 lol.....the finest picker to ever play the blues

  • Saw Mountain Heart for the first time last night in Winfield. Wow! A life changing event for me. Unreal how good they are. I'll be ready for em' next year. JH

  • BEST. PICKERS. EVER.

  • @Ludachrisnew Sorry that would be Curtis Lowe.

  • yes, very bankable nash vegas sound, nice lookin chicky babe but its just wrong to bash a mustang with a crowbar!

  • These guys are AWESOME!!! My son's been inspired by Bluegrass to take up the banjo and acoustic guitar.... Great Job!

  • It's not a rock n roll sounding down beat dude......it's North Carolina power. I disagree with your post. If you can't feel it (the power) then you can't feel bluegrass. It's true Earl, Lester, Jimmy, Carter, Ralph and Bill set the standards, as far as hard driving go, but in my opinion, this drives. If you still don't know what I'm saying, well, I don't know what to tell you.

    Peace.

  • I can't tell you how much this song makes me want to do a run........hot rod jacked up super charger, just begging for the North Carolina State Patrol to chase me, may God help them see through my dust while I stand harder on the gas pedal. I wish them no harm; they are just simply doing their job......as I do mine while this song breaks my eardrums, blaring at 400 watts and cranked all the way up on some county backroad with a load.

  • You guys are crazy!!! Josh has one of the best voices anywhere......... The good ones are not defined by the kind of music they sing!

  • Josh Shilling is terrible! Nothing compared to Steve Gulley!

  • LMAO!!! That's the funniest thing I have EVER heard!! YOU MUST BE DEAF!

  • Josh is a rock star, hes good at what he does; but thats not Bluegrass. correct?

  • He doesn't have the bland bluegrass voice no, but there's is no one I would rather listen to. He's first and for most on my list, he's the most talented out there and I love anything he or Mountain Heart comes up with. Glad you know Josh's name cause you'll hear it for a long time to come!

  • I know his name, i have seen him 5 times and got my pic with him. i have seen Mountain Heart 8 times. Their show was shot in the heart when Gulley left!

  • no flippin way....

  • I say again. Josh is talented but Steve just added so much to the show!

  • standing still looking like Froto doesnt add to the show....

  • His vocals. him and Barry were tight! that made Jimmy rock, Adam rock, and Clay rock! Thats band was smooth and intense! Yes Josh is more talented and plays piano too, but Steve was the man and Grasstowne is still proving that and that letting him go was the biggest mistake Mountain Heart has ever done!

  • Being from Ellijay personally and knowing Barry, he says himself that Josh is the best he has ever stood beside, Steve was good but when Josh came on board they soared to a new level.

  • Yes, they got a bigger and better name. But what they are promoting is Bluegrass, and thats not what is it? when a band does Back in Black, The Ride, Superstious, Simple Man, etc etc etc They are not Bluegrass?! They are talented but when people who dont know bands like IIIrd T O, or D&V, and say that these guys are primary Bluegrass they are wrong and become hardheaded! trust me, i have many friends like that!

  • @haycoltom Amen to that!! The whole band is just amazing it just doesn't get any better or more talented than these guys!!

  • @1996WHW What's wrong with you? They are bigger and better than they have ever been, get your head out of the dirt ole boy!

  • I agree partially 1996WHW, Gulley was a great musician, but Josh is still amazing. He's just a new way for Mountain Heart.

  • @1996WHW Go stalk someone else's videos dude, their fans are not going anywhere were here as long as they are, get over it. Steve is gone and we're happy for it!

  • Damn right!! This guy's got an amazing voice! What a song too!

  • Werry good job!!!GOOD PICKING BOYS!!!

  • Your Bluegrass ROCKS!! Love it!!!!

  • Greetings...Kappa sent me...Very nice Bluegrass tune, growing up in Texas i got a heavy dose of Bluegrass including my fav Charlie Daniels who i was fortunate to see live many times.....keep up the good work, i like your sound........

    Amarillo Fats

  • Nope, it's not

  • Soul? Look man, this music has alot of soul, esp. from the lead singer. Josh is probably the most soulful singer in bluegrass. And yes, it is bluegrass, its just innovative.

Thats the problem with bluegrass today, if everyone doesn't play the same old stuff its not bluegrass. I had to put up with alot of that with our last mando player.

  • duuuuude, you sound like someones out of touch father:P Can we all appreciate that this is GOOD music?:D

  • You do know that bluegrass is a combo of blues, jazz and appalachian and british isles folk right?

The singing is set up on the a high lead trio which was envented by the osbornes, the instrumental ensemble is that of appalachian string band, and the to me it has a strong bluesy feel. So going by that, it really does fit that description of bluegrass.

I will say the the song and arrangment is closer to other styles of music, but this just makes it *progressive* bluegrass, not pop.

  • Bro thers no probem with bluegrass, there a problem with people. you shouldnt worry about people who question what genre of music something is. Its so pointless. People who like music based on its genre are morons. people who consciously make decisions about what music they like are not worth the time.

  • Agreed.

  • jeez

the rhythms the singer pulled really blew me away

  • love this shit! ! ! !

  • they're in the key of be playing in the G panotonic minor progression.

  • sorry I ment tne key of B.

  • Yeah clay jones taught me the progression when he was over here at the house and that it. the bridge has that wierd chord that he put on it but you really cant hear it on the album..

  • Does any body know what key this is played in or the chord progression for it?

  • Haha, the gear shift is awesome!

  • barry abernathy is an absolte inspiration to banjo players......

  • amen to that!

    we saw him at Winfield!

  • Who's the girl?

  • Jammin' just flat out jammin'. Those dudes

    can pick!

  • I like this tune a lot.

  • Whos the chubby fiddle player??? He can rip!!

  • His name is Jim Van Cleve.

  • Brazd28 is clay jones he knew that was him but he was just tryin to get to his pal Jim hahah they are great friends

  • he had a epic voice

  • Holy SCHMOKES they can rip!

  • this is the mountain i love i learned this song cuz it was great and i asked clay jone to teach me this song. he is awsome. this is not the same mountain heart though with out jones, & steffey. josh fits this band great. keep it up with the good work just keep it the way yall normally do things on stage. quit all that rock stuff it aint yall type

  • so great, i love it

  • Dude, what's wrong with the banjoist's left hand?

  • birth defect I think. None the less, he ROCKS!

  • He was born that way.Next question.Hell of a man!!

  • thumbs up

  • mountain heart has come along way since they first started out...i was a little weary when steve left but they're still goin strong and doin good...i wonder how this new mandolin player is goin to work out for them

  • Wow. Stand on it.

  • I like this. : )

  • The band is Perfect the way they are right now. Everyone in it is Awesome!!! Good job Josh , you rock. Jimmy you out beat yourself, truely blessed with all kinds of talent!! Aaron is a great addition! And Barry, Clay and Jason you guys are so wonderful. GREAT BAND!!

  • the new mandolin player is my brother, aaron ramsey. he used to play with randy kohrs and the lites; heard of him?

  • i didn't know that Steffey left the band.Good luck to the rest of the guys, but i think the band's best moment were on the "Force of Nature" cd,with Gulley,Jones, and Steffey's breathtaking solos!

  • Awesome...really looks good...keep up the good work...
