so, ok, why haven't people just come up with the dough? why not use a service like kickstarter? i'm not rich, and i'm not fan enough to give two shits about conventions or fan forums or whatever, but i'd gladly donate a couple hundred bucks toward a firefly reboot. and there seems to be legions of die-hards out there, so why is this a problem? if the "community" is as large as everyone claims it is, why not just fucking get this done?
