i have no idea what the creators of l4d2 were thinking. zombies are the undead. there bodies arent even strong enough to run like that fast. zombies = undead = no flesh, bones weak, skin or w.e isnt strong enough..that stuff so running is like impossible

They're not dead, they're infected by a virus which causes them to attack non-infected and mutate. Oh, and they feel no pain. So lactic acid buildup by running too fast won't affect them. Apart from that, their muscles are (comparatively) healthy. Or maybe they're even enhanced...
