I remember Waqar going for a hat trick attempt against Australia. He was bowling to Greg Matthews. The ball was a 140k/hr in-swinging yorker (for a right handed batsman -- Matthews was left-handed), and the seam was pointed 45 degrees for max swing. The perfect delivery only foiled by a good enough block from Greg Matthews. Had it been a right-hander, the ball might have been unplayable.
