  • The band at .33 is a Chicago based band called the Chips, they had one 45 record called "when you hold me baby"

  • The band at 1:54 has really cute outfits!

  • It's actually funny to think that The Runaways(with Joan Jett ) thought they were the first all girl rock band.

  • cool music !!! I was born in 1983 !! my mother was guilty he used to tunning radio on 60's stations and I watched her dancing !! Maybe that's the reason I love this kind of music and particularly the garage girls ... cool music love dancing like her ... and yeah I'm gay !! :D

  • Great stuff! Hey any way I can get the song playing off you? I looked for it, but no luck whatsoever... Thanks!

  • The Freudian Slips. They didn't necessarily have to record a lick to be one of the coolest ~ but did they and were they any good?

This is a really great series and I'm glad to see that it's expanded past the original goal of 3! Great job ~ Thanks!

  • love those hairdo's

  • That's great. I love seeing some of the old bands on here. I didn't grow up in the generation, but I was influenced by it. LOL!

I like to write music, of both psychedelic, and renegade rock!

I like to reflect some of what I've gained from The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, and Deep Purple!

  • where can i get this song? in an album? i can't seem to find it anywhere? did the bombshells have any LPs?

  • @muhreuh1 as far as i know it was just the one 45, no albums, this song is available on 'the heart beats & other texas girls of the 60s' released on collectables 1998...i've seen two versions of it, one without this track, i think it's deleted but amazon seem to have some.....or i can send you the mp3.....i've never seen a copy of the 45

  • where can i get full albums?

  • The outfit was a 60's all girl band from Cleveland, they came in fourth at the 1968 teenage fair battle of the bands the year the James Gang won. Unfortunately they hooked up with the wrong manager and broke up in disgust. the band consisted of Lorie Stanonik, Judy Pastva, Cindy Klamut, Diane Polewka and Sheila Cornell

  • which band is at 1:19, is that the first fanny line up?

  • @normenghast i think it might have been one of the earlier band incarnations they were, the svelts or wild honey, but not sure of date.....need to check....

  • great to see all these Girls of the 60's!

  • Yep,

    Thumb 11.

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge of 60s Girl Garage Bands...I, too didn't know that there were so many. Cool!

  • At 1:17, I recognize three of the members of what would become the renowned all-girl band, Fanny: extreme left, Alice deBuhr, next, Jean Millington, at the bottom, June Millington. I don't know who the other girls are. Another great job, thanks, blacflag.
