@DAVEBLISS2007 hahahahha you've just proved to all of youtube that your have ZERO clue what your talking about hahahaha wow. you must be an inexperienced kid or have no ear for quality gear.
Hey Brian, any plans to include a preamp stage like something similar to the Xotic EP booster inside of the faux tape echo? Guess that boost/gain/preamp is the only missing tone element. However this sounds sick good.
Could u please do a demo where u put the level/mix control at many different levels so we can hear just how intense the echoes are at different mix volumes.
Clipping, its a result of the chip used. Not all preamps will cause this and very few OD's, but it can happen, Wampler has suggested placing the tape echo before the preamp, or run it through the effects loop of the amp.
It needs to be known that the Faux Tape echo pedal will experience clipping if you use a pre amp pedal before it in the chain as well as most overdrive pedals. By its self though, in a clean playing set up.. its great.
Go Buy an old Yamaha Magicstomp, it blows all of this stuff away.
Probably available on eBay pretty cheap.
