About the Avengers. They can still integrate norse mythology into the real world of lets say iron man an Cap. In the comix they acknowledge the norse gods and villans but that doesnt mean GOD doesnt exist. I love how it tackled the alien invasion plot in a very personal and realistic way. No punching aliens in the face, no super-heroic/patriotic oldmen ramming themselves to oblivion to save the world, no uber-secret CIA technology. Just a family trying to survive unstoppable death.

Oh, and 300 was epic... literally.
