A friend of mine sent this to me to mock how bad I am at fingerpicking. Sir, you have thoroughly both impressed and embarrassed me. I won't hold that against you, though, this was awesome.
Very intriguing interpretation! Is this song constructed mainly from 7th chords and arpeggios? I haven't checked the original piece's score, but I am interested in knowing what's being played there. Anyways, thanks for the vids and keep it up!
Thank you, sir. You and Edgar are heroes of mine, so that means a lot coming from you. I've been doing some of my own arrangements, and I'll be uploading those in the future. Regardless of what happens in my life as a guitarist, it was all inspired by you and Edgar. Thank you so much for your pioneering approach to guitar, and for the comment. Always a fan, Jake P.
You're the most original and talented fingerstyle guitarist I've seen on Youtube. Apart from the very personal sound, you have a treasureload of technique in both hands.
this is ridiculously awesome. the only thing i'd change if it were me personally would be the timing of when the line, "Puttin' on the Ritz" is played. its a little fast and out of time for my liking, but to each his own, and great job.
Thanks for watching. As for the timing being a bit fast, I have a tendency to do that to songs for some reason. I agree with what you wrote and I'll have to change that little habbit of mine. Over the course of playing certain arrangements, the songs evolve in their own ways and the integrity of the original composition goes out the window. I don't intend for that to happen; it just does. I think it has to do with repetition being so boring and trying to find new ways to play an old song.
Thanks. I wish more people could appreciate this style of music. It seems as if this and 'In the Mood' rarely ever get watched, even though they're my favorite arrangements to play.
