Goku was crying because he was hungry. Now I think I know why.

When you feel pain, agony, anger, and happiness.... I think thats where you figure out youre alive and living. Feeling these things symbolizes you are still there fighting to live. I guess eating, fighting and getting hungry is gokus indication he is still alive and not dreaming. He didn't dream about being saved nor did he dreamed about meeting gojyo and hakkai.

goku seems like he aged from being released from cage compared to the goku in saiyuki 1,2,3... i thought he doesn't age.. considering he's been there for 500 yrs and he's still a kid

@ramunalem Well when he was locked away in the cage it was more as if time was suspended for him. But the moment he was released the spell was broken. So from the time he was released until the beginning of Saiyuki he aged as normal. So he's 18 in the beginning of the actual series.

@chohakkaifan goku wasnt 18 sanzo was about 17 when he found goku.goku was that height and age in the vid on the day he was born(i saw him naked on top rock in manga...the anime left out some details).he should be around 11...

Wow,I lvoe this part of Burial....Goku is so adorable,and Sanzo is so hot...Though I prefer cute over hot,but Sanzo is always second on my list....The artwork is SO good for the burial,but for the first season,second and third,it kinda....Well....Sucks.But i still wtach it anyway!

@0katsuki0 No problem. First is the Saiyuki Premium OVA, then Gensomadden Saiyuki. Then the Movie Saiyuki Requiem. Then Saiyuki Reload. Then Saiyuki Reload Gunlock. Saiyuki Burial. Then Saiyuki Gaiden.

Although if you want it in order of the Saiyuki timeline it's Saiyuki Gaiden, Saiyuki Burial, Gensomadden, Premium, Requiem, Reload, and finally Gunlock.

I highly recommend the manga over the anime though since most of the TV series is filled with filler and fake endings.

Well they're both actually rather far apart from one another in the storyline. Saiyuki Reolad Burial Takes place far before even Saiyuki begins. Saiyuki Reload Gunlock is the final part in the storyline to the anime.

I get it. The prison somehow paused Goku's aging and metabolism rate, declining his gradual aging and hunger. Though it also figures why he eats a lot... ~_~

It's not the prison itself, it's the talisman's pasted all over it.

I think the ball attached to him has to do with stopping the aging/hunger and such.

I can understand what you are saying CHF. I personally am a Saiyuki fan who sticks to canon and do not like the pairings. I do not mind a fangirl fantasizing, but sometimes a lot of these people take it to the extreme where they think their fantasies are actual canon.

If you're talking about an OFFICIAL english dub, it's very doubtful, I think. Geneon was the company that picked up the Saiyuki series after Gensoumaden (which was by ADV); but as of Dec.'07, Geneon announced that it was no longer going to be in business, more or less. We can only hope ADV will pick it back up again. Hope this helps.
