  • This is actually pretty deep ha...

  • Beetle Juice is a beautiful

  • Beetlejuice brought me here.

  • Man, I love this song. I forgot about it till I put Beatlejuice in the dvd player

  • lil wayne 6 foot 7 foot

  • I watched it from beetle juice this is the most weird song I ever herd

  • @kayla68837

It's not weird it's part of history, It's a work song, from the p.o.v. of dock workers working the night shift loading bananas onto ships. Daylight has come, the shift is over and they want their work to be counted up so that they can go home.

  • Long Live Beetle Juice!

  • i've known this song since my 4th grade music class & it brings back memories <3

  • my aunt bought my father a plush toy, three monkeys sewn together. you press a button, they start swaying and singing this song!

  • i lov this song

  • this is so so shit

  • @Aceprodkshunzzz It's a great song.

  • We are doing this song for our chorus concert!!

  • I remember listening to The Martini and this song came out and I knew this was one of my new favorite songs, then a few months went by and Lil' Wayne used the chorus and then a few more months traveled by and Jason Derulo just remixed it and took out the chorus. Looks like I wasn't only one that liked the song.

  • I used to think it was eating a banana.......

  • This sounds much like the bin laden bomb song. I guess that was a parody, but it's funny that I learned about the parody first long before this song.

(I listened to the parody in October or November 2001. Back in those days, it was mind-bogglingly quick for a parody reflecting current events to be made within 2 months. Now, it's normal for them to sprout up within 2 DAYS! Just look up "bin laden death songs" and pay attention to their dates!)

  • bananita banana bananita dolca, su encanto es el sabor

  • Yeah

  • how many people herd this song from beetle-juice?

  • Great song, but a little bit poor lyrics:

A beautiful bunch of ripe banana

    hide the deadly black tarantula!

Nothing else, all other words are repeated.

  • @dockhoo Well.. the song idea actually originated from slaves, can't really complain. :p

  • in the staple center durning laker games it goes like day ay ay ay oo sometimes

  • It's. Hilarious. I've seen this happen when people think these songs are "stolen" bye someone when sometimes the people they thought it was stolen from wasn't even born yet.

  • I dont listen to this while eating. To scared

  • too bad harry is a commie bastard good artist

  • So funny that people actually think this was stolen from Lil Wayne & Jason Derulo. WOW! It's the other way around, they stole it from him(:

  • Beatlejuice

  • To make this clear to those of you think They stole this from lil Wayne. This was made WAY before lil Wayne was even born you tards... I'm on my phone so I can't point out directly who's saying it, but you are dumb if you think that. Good bye... Good song, btw. :)

  • @britishkamikaze ohh I didn't know that! I learned something today hahaa.

  • z0r brought me here.

  • 6 foot 7 foot and we dont wanna gohome YA

  • @pabloMTv Stop being such a fucking dumbass. Everyone knows that lil wayne sampled this song, therefore, he didn't write it first...This was actually a song that migrant workers would sing who worked on stocking up the banana boats throughout the night before they were exported. The workers would stack the bananas up in crates as high as "6 foot, 7 foot, 8 foot..." and then you had a 'bunch', or a complete stack.

  • Comment removed

  • what does six fooot seven foot mean

  • why you hate wayne? ok he can never come near Harry Belafonte, but can you? no!!! he just a musician and i also like in hip hop music more gang starr and stuff like that.. but if his song brought some people here to listen day-o then he made a good job.. and btw i knew that song before lil wayne came out and not from a movie!

  • who could possibly think this is from Lil Wayne, this is the original from what the 50's and when did Wayne's version come out, last year, so lil wayne stole this from harry belafonte, i watched beetleguise before hearing the lil wayne version of this song

  • @patrimacc lol i think you should actually credit beetlejuice here

  • @patrimacc right, he didn't steal it, as he had to pay for it's use

however, you're giving him too much credit by saying that without him nobody would know the song =P

maybe it's not as popular now, but this is a very popular song

  • @Minority119 right it might have been a popular song but today if he had not used this song we would not be discussing this right now
