You are saying that there are no dinosaur bones in the grand canyon because it was made after they evolved which assumes that I believe in evolution, the very thing you are trying to prove. That makes your argument a logical circle, that is to say it goes no where.
Are you trying to say that there are no dinosaur bones in the grand canyon? I don't know if thats true but if it is it makes a lot of creationist look stupid.
@LuckEnducedDeath The grand canyon formed before dinosaurs walked the earth.
The argument creationists commonly make is that the grand canyon formed during the flood and the dinosaur bones arranged themselves by size in the sediment before it hardened.:)
Back in the 1970's I was a Bible-believing knuckehead. I heard that there used to be intermountain lakes in the Great Basin that have since disappeared and I took the idea and RAN with it. I imagined that the ENTIRE Great Basin was one huge lake left after Noah's flood and that the San Andreas fault shifted north and all that water drained simultaneously to form the Grand Canyon and left a barren desert. This is how creatards think. Embarrassing, huh? Needless to say, I was ignorant of geology.
It is likely the grand canyon was formed as the flood waters receded and cut grooves in the rock. Anyway this is an argument from ignorance and proves nothing.
@lolbewbz "Anyway this is an argument from ignorance and proves nothing."
Yes it is.
It show a complete lack of understanding of what would be required to rip through the grand canyon that deep and fails to explain the fact that several of the oldest layers of the grand canyon are composed of millions of years worth of sea life like shells and corals.
Or the intermittent layers from volcanic activity.
All supposedly in the 2,000 years before the flood.
@lolbewbz "It is likely"?! You need to read more. If you look at a map of the Colorado River in Utah and Arizona, you will see that it has large curved loops and looks exactly like the Mississippi River from aerial photos. Why would this be, you ask? It's because it used to be a low lying meandering river that was elevated GRADUALLY over millions of years (the Kaibab Plateau) and thus, it kept its original pattern. A sudden "flood" would have obliterated those meandering loops. Study science!
