Just look at what's going on in the world. We spend over a billion dollars a day on 3 different war fronts, Why? To protect our freedom? Ever wonder why there is a cop on every street corner issuing tickets like he's handing our bubble gum. To protect our freedom? The major banks in the world have already stolen trillions from us. But the Dems and the Repubs agreed on handing the banks our money, so it must be good. The dollar will default and we'll have a world currency like they want.
Iraq is definitely a corporate war, Afghanistan benefits corporations but since it doesn't favor heavy equipment, it's not as cool for them as Iraq. The idea that we can defend our freedom by going overseas and fighting in random hellholes is a dying idea, fortunately. The original formulation of those large banks was supposed to be to exploit other countries for the benefit of America. That was wrong, of course, but now it is its own entity and doesn't care about the American people at all.
@Thucydides2004 Afghanistan is about building a pipeline from the Caspian Sea to the Indian Ocean through Pakistan. Also don't forget the opium trade, Afghanistan before the war produced 10% of the world's opium, now it produces 90%. There are actually US soldiers protecting the poppy fields from the Taliban. As far as the banks looting the 3rd world, I have the feeling we Americans are going to know how it feels to have that done to us in the not so distant future, thats why they want our guns.
@FastBrian1 I'll have to look into the pipeline, I haven't heard of that. As for opium, I have heard that President Karzai is involved in the opium trade and that his regime is so riddled with corruption that a lot of money that we are pouring into the country is being wasted. We will know the wrath of austerity soon, that is true enough. I don't think that they will come for the guns because the same faction that defends them is the faction that is trying to strip us of our money.
For a smart guy, I don't understand how you buy into this bullshit. Republicans and Democrats alike are bought and paid for by the international banksters. Forget what these politicians say, watch what they actually do. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama have pretty much been pushing their Globalist agenda for the 3 decades. When are we going realize that no matter who is president, we the people are fucked. The position of president of the united states is akin to a corporate spokesman.
In some ways, yes there is a disconcerting pattern of sameness to presidential policy across time. In other countries where the IMF is running things on behalf of corporate interests, they force politicians regardless of party to adopt Austrian economics and screw over the common people. Here, the pressure is from within and it is because ideological extremists backed by corporatist money want to destroy government to protect their "rights" from a phantom threat.
(Part 2) No other country has ever really voted for austerity before, with the arguable exception of Britain electing the Conservatives. Even then, that seemed like a protest vote. Other than the Tea Party, most Americans voted for Republicans because they were pissed at Democrats that the jobs haven't come back yet. The recent imposition of austerity measures from within in Europe and now America is truly startling, since it is bad economic policy and is not something people would vote for.
(Part 3) In conclusion, while I hate the international banksters every bit as much as you do, I see them more as the bankrolling mechanism for stupidity than being directly involved in some of the ridiculous things that are going on. I don't believe that Obama is a puppet of some international group simply because power and prestige don't work that way. Some of Obama's positions are brought to you by X Corporation, but he is mostly his own man, or invertebrate, or whatever he is.
Yeah, no doubt about it, God grants us some amazing leaders. One had the courage to ignore facts and the other somehow finds the courage to ask the other party to meet him on a 10:90 basis. It's a good thing that they both draw their strength from the almighty Jesus. Were you able to watch the video or has it really not finished processing yet?

It's kind of amazing that we've gone in consecutive elections from one of the least intelligent presidents to one of the biggest cowards.

All right, cool. I was wondering why it was coming up that it was still being processed if you had already commented.
