ok if you grab a weapon press(i forgot what button to press, just try pressing all 4 shoulder buttons and figure out what button it does to switch to nothing) that weapon icon next to your hp bar should be smaller than usual, you should be holding nothing
then pick up another weapon(now youll have one to kill and one to save for later or just switch and crap, if you need to switch between weapons press that shoulder button you figured out)
ok if you grab one weapon press (i forgot which shoulder button...just try all four figure out which one switches to nothing, then you can pick up another item,) so one item in use for kill and one in storage
it's R1 to pick up a weapon, then L1 to "put it away" so you can pick up a second weapon, then use L1 to switch between these two...
And of course use R1 one to throw a weapon away again :)
