  • Where did you find some of your primary sources? I am doing my NHD project on Coco Chanel as well. Your video was very cute :)

  • @trinagirl95 This is soo good where did you find primary sources i have been looking everywhere for them for my thesis????

  • This is really great! Good job guys! I love documentaries. I'm thinking about making documentaries when I get older. I just saw this really great one called Programming the Nation. Have you seen it? bitly .com/raMjYx

  • her prices when she started 200s $ ?

  • Coco Chanel spent the WW2 occupation of Paris with a high ranking Nazi officer in a suite at the Ritz. She was a whore, very fortunate to escape the punishments meted out to other women who consorted with the occupiers.

  • Thanks so much for sharing.

  • The more I see old runway shows and compare them to now they more I see a difference. Designers were inspired and I'm not saying the they're aren't anymore but it seems like it's more about the money that the actual artwork of the clothes. Are they good quality? Yes. But the designers back then had a passion pouring their blood sweat and tears into making a couture outfit so that women can where them. I can say that Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel are my favorite designers.

  • Exactly Chanel was designed by a woman and it always should be. Why does Karl Lagerfeld deny women of different skin colour and body types from the line? Chanel didn't build her business to exclude women. That goes for Yves Saint Laurent too. He didn't exclude models like Lagerfeld. Karl Lagerfeld will always be 2nd to Laurent because Laurent knew what looked good on women. YSL barely has black models on the runway. Yves would be crying in his grave from disappointment.

  • I am doing my history day project on coco chanel. I love your documentary? Where did you find some of your photos?

  • I did this like three years ago, and its not even the original, but we just researched like a lot of different stuff since primary source documents were key in this project. We scanned a lot of the pictures, so if you just do a lot of research not on the web you can find some quality stuff, and of course databases like Jstor or Gale.

Good luck with your project! idk if its the same, but definately hit it home on historical context

  • fascinating woman but one can be said-her life proves it pays to have rich boyfriends to get you where you want to go!

  • Nice!, Im a guy and I (lowkey) mix No 5 into some of my more woody colognes and usualy always get compliments on it.

  • @phiota10 Try Antaeus and as a base, then streak a finger of No.5 down the middle of your neck over your adams apple, right down to between your pecs. Delicious.

  • @markqua omfg! Your a genius!, It worked!

  • @phiota10 same! ive been mixing forever! and still have no idea how u can put a sex on a smell!

  • What year did you turn this one in?

I competed in the Texas competition with a website on Yves Saint Laurent for the "Individual In History" theme and made it to nationals, unfortanelty I had a problem with the formatting of the website in the cd's I sent to the national competition and didn't get to be judged.

  • coco el arte nunca pasa de moda por eso tus obras todavía emocionan y te dan un achazo en el corazon

  • i saw the movie.. with shirley mclaine (sp) and i think it's so sad about her love life. Yes she was talented and happy and loved what she did, but it's a sad tragedy that her and her only Real Lover Boy/Boi.. Never had any fate to be together finally!

  • @ronaldmad i understand your point but also think you wrong those girls too much. Chanel's philosophy is more about style than fashion. As such, it is just one more way to express one's soul. I think if somebody expresses their personality through clothing, it is harmonious, not shallow.

  • Great job girls! Very much informative, I just saw the movie and I am fascineted by this woman!

  • Great job, Chanel rules... I love No.5 and my chanel pearls...

  • Chanel is a brilliant label. Very innovative work.
