@hazellina07 Queen Seondeok is based on a real queen Queen Seondeok of Silla(Shilla) the first Female Queen. Her childhood name is indeed Deokman and she is known for ruling in the harshest time in Silla when Goguryeo(part of the three kingdoms of Korea along with Silla) and Tang China tried invading Queen Seondeok(Deokman) succesfully stopped them with her quick smart mind. She died on January 7 and Lord Bidam is a real person he tried revolting against her and was put to death on January 17.
omg the scene where Bidam counts the steps to Deokman...the music they used "passo dopo passo" fitted so well with Bidam trying to get close to her..it was one of the most powerful scenes, even my mom cried and she doesn't cry on any movie. Bidam is really the only one that can hurt himself...this drama really makes you wonder..destiny or circumstances, right or wrong...

I just now finished this drama. At the end when he was like "30 paces to Deokman"... I totally lost it! I can't even comprehend how sad that was!
