last night i just watched NEWS video in my laptop, i didn't know about Yamapi and Ryo leaving NEWS until today, when i watched your video. I know it was too late. It's because of my study, in this recent years, I couldn't follow their activities intensively. However, I was so shocked and I really understand how u feel. NEWS will gain more success, although without both of them. Thank you for your sharing and please keep your promise to support them!

@woots96 You're obviously speaking from the perspective of a biased Yamapi fan. In my opinion it was absolutely wrong of YOU to tell someone to "get a life" just because their opinions are different from yours.

Personally, I also believe that Yamapi was being a bit selfish when he left NEWS seeing as he did it for his own benefit and the remaining members of NEWS are going to struggle to get back up.

Please try to remember that opinions vary before you call people selfish and abuse them.

for me, as a NEWS fan, the other two - PI and ryo - are merely 'former members'.

no matter how big they are as stars, they no longer embody the SPIRIT of NEWS, the friendship, the loyalty and sense of togetherness, of family that is NEWS.

i celebrate the family that is NEWS, the unity and honesty of NEWS. so, like i said, it don't matter to me if those guys don't want NEWS.

2nd - however - for the long term, ULTIMATELY, just "forgive" Pi (and even Ryo).

LATER ON, let's just be grateful that their presence in NEWS probably helped to popularize Koyama, Shige, Tego and Massu in the early years. They've done their parts, they hand-held the 4 for long enough. forgive them.

NEWS needs us now, so let Koya and Shige and Tego and Massu stand tall and proud of their own talents. I'm proud they chose to stay!

1st, it's ok to be angry. it's ok to feel betrayed, bcoz fans WERE betrayed, in a way. if Pi had really known all along, then he shud've at least been forewarned us. i'm kinda shocked about Ryo leaving, tho', to be honest. why after all these years, suddenly he's decided to focus on K8? kinda weird reasoning.

I know how you feel, NEWS was what got me into the J.E. fandom and although I haven't been to much up to date with them lately, it was really sad to hear. I am a huge Tegoshi biased fan so I will diff stick by the 4 because they truly will need a lot of support after such a thing. I actually became a Yamapi fan when he was doing solo activities, but my heart goes out to all the News fans, especially after all you've been through previously and then loosing 2 more at once.

Just a side note:

Akanishi may seem to have disappeared to people who don't follow him, but he is busily working on a lot of good stuff, as I hope you will see very soon.

That was a very sweet, heartfelt video. I'm sorry that you are so sad. I felt the same way when Akanishi left Kat-tun, so I totally understand the tears.

I have a feeling that Jin and Pi didn't choose to leave on their own. If they could've pursued their solo careers as always and returned as usual, I think they would've done that. It would've definitely been a safer option for them.

I understand what you are saying, I can relate to it so much. I went through the same thing last year when Jin left KAT-TUN. I still support both KAT-TUN and Jin. I got a shock last weekend when I read about this that Yamapi and Ryo was going to leave, I cried myself of course because it was all thanks to them I got into JE-fandom. I'm pretty sure it was Yamapi who made the decision to leave first and Ryo probably just made it after Yamapi did.. cause Ryo is closer to kanjani8 more than news but he's closer to Yamapi than he is to kanjani8 members, so for quite a long time, he's been having trouble deciding which group to stay with but when Yamapi left, he just left too so that schedules won't clash anymore and he can finally choose which group to stay with.

I was at class when I saw the news about them leaving and I was screaming ( no lie) I told my friends but they don't understand. I think this was all of the company's fault because they take so much time to get a song out for them, and it's like 1 per year, and that is not fair for us NEWS fans, I mean look at Arashi they have like 5 o6 songs a year plus all of their cm and magazine things. Johnny is just forgetting about NEWS, he doesn't see how much hope we have for them.My heart is broken. =/

ugh T.T I was crying too...It was supposed to be a great day too...I don't know what to say or think about the both of them. I would seriously give you a hug right now if we were friends in real life...NEWS is not just a group, and us fans and them have a special bond. And I understand it's like those two broke a trust barrier. More Yamapi then Ryo. I will always be a NEWS fan, because of the happiness they brought me. I'm pretty much feeling the exact same way, I think it's the fact that I really, really didn't see it coming that irks me. I mean Pi has deliberately said many times he wouldn't leave, and that's exactly what he does. I've always loved the 4 boys the most, so personally, I'm not effected too strongly by this split. I've always enjoyed Yamapi by himself and I've always loved the 4 boys together. The only problem for me is I've never followed Kanjani8 and have never known Nishiki of Kanjani, so he's lost to me now. And Yamapi and Nishiki have always been the most popular, so I believe that the 4 remaining boys are the ones that need the support most.

@Sik15 Though I can't imagine the 4 boys singing the old discography anymore; trying to split 6 person songs into 4 and even some 8 person songs in half. And there are just some songs that I would be angry to hear them try to sing, such as Share. Share no longer holds the meaning it used to. The emotions and feelings behind that song are lost now. I kind of think they'll have to come up with an entirely new discography before they can perform a concert.
