  • Yes I watched the air crash investigation. They are the experts but these aircraft with the same engines in the same atmospheric conditions and thrust demands have been there for a while. No one has explained the lack fire (thank God) when clearly the wings were punctured. There would still be a minimum of an hour or even an hour and half of flight time fuel left for diversion or delays.

I am sure the experts are right but must have been miraculous that there was absolute no fire after the tank

  • A nice video spoilt by that bloody awful crap music

  • Recording results, force will be the same. Regardless ( appologies for split messages)

  • Get an accelerometer (real one not iphone) lay a camera on the ground drop the accelerometer onto both grass and tarmac with camera

  • Its like doing a belly flop from the high dive suddenly the water no longer absorbs most of the impact, laws of physics, the sliding well its hard to say but tarmac would have slid further with less damage but the sparks caused would greatly increase the chance of fuel igniting,

  • The weight of the aircraft falling does the damage, not the sliding, the impact on grass is exactly the same as concrete, the falling aircraft hits the ground which has to stop xtonnes of weight regardless of which material,

  • i mean metal scraping on concrete sorry. typing error

  • did the aircraft actually touch down on soft grass area of the airport. If so this would of made the landing softer than a hard surface landing.

  • @1982FMJ when youve an aircraft like this falling ''soft grass makes no difference,

  • i don't think you can really say it makes non difference. It will have effects on the impact energy. how can you say it makes no difference. In aviation everything makes a difference. i think you are ignorant to think metal scraping along grass is no different than metal scraping on metal. You need to think.

  • hang on a inute...how come the engine in the second pic is bright blue ? some fake pics in there me thinks

  • Great Cameraman but bad musician. lol

  • james dinsdale has no penis.

  • yeah i was on this. i had just been looking out the window at windsor castle and i thought. woah. we are really low. then i heard a massive crash and the plane bumped about and there was some dust and some fire and things falling. the next thing i was down the chute and stuff. really scary.

  • Spartanwarrior340! That is the 777 landing gear, look it, the third gear console (rear 2 gear) broke out from the bogie when the 777 hit the land.

  • WTF is this "happy" music?

  • whats the bet a 737 would not of been as lucky as the 777

  • last time on 2005,my family n i went to bali, they make an emergency landing!!!i reach the airport around 12.00a.m!!!i think bcaz they nearly ran out of fuel...thank god safe us...

  • thats not 777 landing gear that has 6 wheels per bogie not 4

  • such a nice plane it sucks that it crashed but look how well it held up

  • Hi, Actually there was an ice block in the engine cutting out any power in the engine. No rubber was involved!

  • i want on the plane

  • They ran out fuel - How can you tell? Just look at the pictures their is no fuel spillage or more noticably (Thank god) FIRE!. The wheel strut punctured the wing, that by it self would have ignited the fuel. The fire fighters were hosing down Hydraulic fluid leaking rather than putting any fires out. They flew in on vapour. Now they trying to find ways to cover it up.

  • my dads a ba engineer and he brought home the crash investigation and it said that there were bits of rubber and seals in the tanks. but very luck!!

  • @twyfs002 it did NOT run out of fuel there was a ice build up in a pipe resulting in no fuel supply to the engine

  • so i guess you were one of the guys investigating the crash?? or maybe you just wanna come across as a big no it all??

  • My Friend The triple 7 should have had an Hours fuel for alternative when it came into land minimum. That amounts approx 22000 kg and thats a lot of fuel. The tanks were ruptured and even if they did not ignite there should have been considerable spillage. t's not rocket science but just an observation. There are many no it all's out there but me I'm just a humble observer with many years aviation experience including time at BA engineering.

  • @Inatsikap The cause was that ice had been clogging up the FOHE in both engines, that made the engines stall!

  • you see the green on 18:00 second, ive been there and the fence is very low, it just hit the top of it... Holy Shit...

  • cool!

  • unbelievable how no one was really hurt or even killed! great photos though
