It's the home language of more then 5 milion people in South-Africa (mostly coloured and white people)....

You're right. However, there are still many bands or singers in the US who are black, and white people still enjoy their music. I have watched some Afrikaans music videos. So far, I haven't seen any black Africans in any of them. Even dancers in the clips are white. Except this one. Do you have any explanation?

I don't think it's really racisism, I mean, blacks and whites in ZA are two completely separate worlds.

Whilst the whites live an "australian like" lifestyle (but with a psicosis for safety), for the blacks, it stays an african country.

The economic gap between them is too big to actually interact, they just don't see each other somehow.

BTW, I still haven't seen black dancers on early Britney Spears videos ;-)

That sounds quite like the US. I think that except Texas, California, Washington, Illinois, and New York, other states have mostly white Americans.

It's much worse than in the US, in South Africa the vast majority of the black people live below poverty line.

Just for you to get the picture: White south africans represent 12% of the population, and hold almost 45% of the economy, whilst black south africans represent 76% of the population and hold 43% of the economy. You see how big the gap is? It's slowly changing though, but it will take time and effort.

I said the aussie lifestyle because it's the same people living in a similar climate.
