Watching this vid got me back motivated to give UMVC3 Tron another shot. Its pretty cool how both of your characters level Frank West so easily. Going to go hit the lab with this team.

I don't even play Tron, but I have to say this guide is impressive. I wish someone could make one like this for Hsien Ko... It seems you need some good reaction/reflex to be good with Tron. Her confirms really need some split-second decision.

Is there any way to combo Tron's crouching H with viewtiful joe's groovy uppercut assist and Tron's beacon bomb?

@Sourblob if VJ's assist is a standard uppercut it sounds like it'd be too fast to combo with. You might be able to time it so you can do something like c.H (call joe) f.H (boulder picks up) (cancel into QCF+H) joe hits, QCF+H hits. boulder is now special cancelable to make it a little faster, but i don't have access to the game or any VJ experience to help much more than speculation. good luck tho!

Tron was one f my best character on MvC3, i´ll try to do my best to becom her again the best one i use. Hey, what about these team? Phoenix W/Frank W/Tron? The first one had already a team, but with Nova, & other many characters, so i´ll follow these vid for get better, now my only combo it´s this one:

j,air dashing,L,L,land,cr + L,st,M,H,RDP + M,M,H,S,sj,M,M,H,S

Two ways to finish the combo:

1)OTG Assist,QCF L, DP + PP, H, QCF PP

2)cr+ H, Wall Bounce Assist, QCF H, j,S + QCF L (same HC+H+HC)

@PokemonBr4wl tbh I don't think Tron is good at anchor, and she should be in front of Frank to level him up. Phoenix Wright is just kinda bad and neither frank nor Tron give him the assists he needs to keep away/lockdown for him to gather evidence.

@okizemeTV Oh...i don´t search to evidence until i defeat the other character. Eh...anyway, so, i have to keep Tron in front, so i can level up Frank? Well, in Shoryuken it says to don´t focus only on the Level up, just to make a lot of damage, for that i get only to lvl 3-4 & then i stop taking photos & i do mortal combos with him.

Just yesterday i finished the mission 10 of Tron, that works on battle actually? If it works, i can´t wait for use it

How well would MODOK beam and Doom Missiles work with her?

@MasterKurow any beam assist would help tron get in, and doom missiles help extend combos (either OTG into qcf+h/m) or between king kobuns to link multiple hypers (i think). Missiles also provide blockstun to set up command throws, or serve as combobreakers etc. DHCs to doom outside of corner are weak, you might be able to DHC to modok's grab (whiff) then start learning while lunchrush locks them down. hope that helps!

GT was SERVEbots Unite or something like that...something tells me it wasn't you, but I thought you'd be interested to know that you have some...odd fans. He was pretty good!  Although his Nova was quite free.

@okizemeTV Haha, well lucky for him I use Tron/Viper/Morrigan so the headaches were distributed evenly. Tron is so depressing to play online though...I don't even bother with L -> M launcher after a drill and instead mash the S button.  Even that whiffs about 35% of the time. :(

Anyone who wants to win in tournaments should stop playing Tron. That's just how it is unfortunately. 90% of your tech isn't practical because it is easily dealt with, and Tron without any assist for getting in such as beams or drones isn't viable. You'll still get wins because people don't understand the matchup but don't confuse that for Tron being a good or tournament viable character because she isn't.

@okizemeTV I'll still play her in casuals because I love Tron's playstyle and character but in tournament she gets to sit on the sidelines. Anyone who mains Tron is a good person though, so I wish you the best of luck!

This video inspired me to pick up Tron again, thank you so much for showing the world can still be a viable character despite her unfair nerfs. Especially in the eyes of characters who were way more deserving of nerfs like Wesker and several other characters in the cast imo.

Why don't you suggest using f.m in blockstrings?

Also, can't they just advancing guard and punish your cr.h? I guess f.h has the advantage that you still can throw the boulder if they advancing guard.

@Link1209 I haven't had much success with that -- I think even if you jump cancel your safest bet is going for j.MS instant overhead or something. I think f.M has a lot of untapped potential now that it's easier to jump cancel and is special cancelable while still retaining a good anti-air hitbox and projectile nullifying properties.

As for pushblocking cr.H, you can cancel to boulder and I think you can also hold downback to space yourself further. I prefer calling an assist to cover neway

This has given me some thoughts for a Tron Arthur Deadpool; one hit with Tron allows for an Arthur level up. In addition, you can get unblockables w/ deadpool. Only problem is using their assists properly in combo's. That would require some work on my part. But a great video nonetheless!

Nice stuff! I think Tron is at her scariest when she just finishes off a character and the next one is coming in. She can trap an incoming character with dp servbot setups (like M -> L -> M) and either start pressuring them or sneak a command grab inbetween the Servbots.

Another one of Tron's strengths is her jumping M. Hoses anyone's airdashing from nearly fullscreen and can be linked into jS.
