@CSM0fficial I don't know if it was a construction thing or a maintenance thing, because GhostRider was super smooth for the first 5 or so years it was open and then went downhill really fast.

Also, I think the fact that Colossus has a way different layout and overall ride experience may have something to do with it.

@wickedphant0m That's true, there's something with maintenance or something that makes coasters better than others of its same kind. Colossus probably got a lot of care early considering originally it was like Colossus, Revolution, and Gold Rusher @SFMM

dont sit in the front because you go slowly down like half of the drop because of the back. make sure you always get the back. keep this in mind

@MrJohnnylama yes I had been on this when i was younger and i was scared to death and I recently went on it (8 years later) and it was even crazier than I remembered it. This video sort of does it justice, but when you're actually on it, it feels like you are spiraling out of control. We were in the second to last back car, but still it was pretty wild.

this is a wonderful masterpiece of a ride if you ride it in the very back row no matter how long you have to wait for it, i've been on it even one row up from the back and its not the same, and try to leave the restraints safely loose 2 inches or so so you can really feel the air

dude i went on this yesterday, i was so scared because i dont like really big rides. and the first drop was so steep and it gave me that tickle feeling and i sat in the back too.

Note- dont always rely on these videos the ride will look feel and be a lot different. this video makes the first drop not look that big but trust me its bigger. i liked this ride and it was fun but scary to me.

Im sick of people today being pussies. Wooden coasters are supposed to shake, thats why theyre fun! Instead we have these uber wooden coasters that are so smooth they might as well be steel. OR the wooden ones are tamed. In the 20s and 30s coasters REALLY killed people!

There's a difference between being shaky and being downright painful. I know someone who was in perfect health who hurt his back so badly on the ride that he couldn't get out of bed for two days after visiting the park.

Now that they've added those ridiculous cameras, I wont ride, because my knees get so banged up too. GR was my one of FAVORITE rides in So Cal for YEARS (like, 3 rides per visit) and now I refuse to ride it...that should say something.

I never noticed if it was either....but one thing I can tell you is that it is very aggressive...but its really fun. Actually the only thing that might make your body hurt is the actual line for it, but it may be short if you get lucky.

im used to pretty dam rough coasters. do you know the coney island wildcat design? well, that one is REALLY crazy and rough and shaky, but i still enjoyed it, used to ride it all the time as a kid. id like to get to knotts one day! although the main calling card for me really is xcelerator
