Hopefully, we can do Utopia and all the great progressive acts justice by progressing ahead and not looking back too hard and missing out on the newness and action to be had in the present...Good luck.
Again, I looked for these videos some time ago, there wasn't as much as one can find looking now, Utopia is OLD school rock, avante garde in the same way Pink Floyd was, inspired by some of what the Beatles brought to the table as well
I think this was at the club called The Rat. Not entirely positive. At any rate I think this is one of the greatest rock songs ever. At least one of my tops. Hard to find too.
Okay- this song freakin' rocked. What happened to those crazy electronic drums Willie had during this time- those white tube looking things. Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? Why isn't this album on itunes dang it.
well i don't know to much about them though i do know when they hit 82 there sound did get very simple i think willie brought them back in, in the oblivion and POV album which in fact was there last album saddly otherwise you should get the live in ohio 1980 it goes for over two hours and you get to se those drums halfway through the show

I remember this song! I was in high school. After about 1982, I never heard it again. This song jams.

This show was shot at the Metro in`82 on Landsdowne St across from Fenway Park, an x-girlfriend and I attended this show.

Can't be the Rat, it didn't have that big a stage. Never been to the Metro. My guess is the Channel.

This is one of my favorite Utopia songs from a very good
album!! A very under rated band. Todd Rundgren still out there doing great playing with the New Cars!!
