  • holy cow! that's some fast fingerwork there!

  • ian sommerhalders brther?

  • Sounds a little like Mendez.

  • Questo ragazzo è un grandissimo trombettista, un talento impressionante, fidatevi. This guy is a very impressive virtuoso trumpet player, trust me.

  • You play well, listen to the negative and positive comments and let it go both.

I just listened few videos, and one of when you were a kid, and one with the baroque.

Nice playing and technique. Each artist expresses himself.

  • GREAT JOB!!!!

  • i like 1:48-1:49 that twist!! so smooth...

how can it be done?? with lips, air flow, ...?? please teach me =]

  • very good...........

Complimenti.

  • Lots of really nice moments in that.

  • damn man that was crazy!

  • this young man is great. not Rafael but not that far behind. There was only ONE Rafael Mendez

  • veramente eccellente ottimo prodigio

  • Impressionante, complimenti

  • Jeez... a storm in a glass of water for one simple comment?

if JANIHENRIK doesnt like this interpretation, let him not like... who are you guys to judge what if thinks or not?

for one reason this video has 119 likes and 1 dislike...

    each person has its opinion...

I honestly liked a lot this interpretation... you have an awesome technic and double stacatto

  • WHAT is he poaying for a trumpet...

looks like it's 50 years old

  • Bravisisimoo!

  • ciccio!! you should not answer to those who understand nothing of music!! you are a ''facchi ginius'' ahahahaha grande cumpà a presto

    lorenzino

  • Also, the fact that you have in memorized! AMAZING!

  • mexico!!

    exelente video!!

del df.. mariachis raises y folclor.!!

  • Great note at 2.26

    Excellent player.

  • he is one of the best in the world

i dont think his play is boring!

and his father ist one of the best trumpet teachers in the world

    i think he is perfect!!!!!

  • I am very impressed!

If I closed my eyes, it was just like Raphael Mendez playing.

    Brilliant!

  • Hablas Espanol? Check Out My Rendition of Mexican Hat Dance!! Ole, Ole!!

  • I'm scared by his beautiful playing

    +1

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this as well as your other videos, Giuliano. They make me appreciate how special it was to have met you and had lunch with you and your brother in Leipzig!

  • i could never play this goood....he is AWSOME!!! ARRRGGHH!

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • arriba Rafael Mendez y arriba mexico orgullosamente mexicano y michoacano arriba mexico puro talento arriba mexico cabrones!!!!!!!!!

  • Talented, fun, with fantastic interpretation.

  • This is a vehicle for the artist to showcase his virtuosity very similar to "Carnival of Venice" by the Canadian Brass and others.

  • Yeah, I noticed that. It was very similar, I still want to play it though. Sounds like fun! :D

  • real REAL fast! hehehe

  • wtf ?

  • increible

  • please god can i have the sheet music. SOMEONE! I need it. This kid is AMAZING

  • I was always told to play with the tip of the finger, did u start with the tip and then changed ?? is it better to play with extended fingers??

  • In this particular song I believe it's cause of the extreme tempo, in which it's more difficult to use the fingertips. Extended fingers are slightly more easy in faster parts. Atleast that's my experience :P

  • i have this song on my moblie!

  • Do it better, then criticise. Thank you.

  • I never take things personally, and I like to be criticised, provided it is constructive criticism. And "boring, where is the music" is definitely not constructive. Plus this is clearly no Brahms or Schubert, it's a traditional piece Arranged by Rafael Méndez (so he must also be technical but boring???) with many notes and not so much dephth. It was filmed at the Eurovision Competition in the semifinals, and was broadcast live in all of Europe. I tried to play safe, I can do better if needed.

  • Why would you want to play it safe though? Isn't making music supposed to be taking risks, making a response in the audience, and doing your best?

  • Couldn't have said it better

  • completely agree

  • @jazzmangiant - rarely hear such a smart ass answer; just put some recording of yourself to youtube and then we can see and hear .....

  • @jazzmangiant let him! WTF! He's a master so all shut up!

  • @Agatrampet Don't listen to the trolls! This was lovely...nice tone. Trumpeters are good kissers! (I married one!)

  • @Agatrampet: fully agree with you - this guy is just a stupid idiot and has no clue at all. You play this wonderful incl the lyrical passages and with a very smooth tone - congratulations!

  • did you really just say there is no swing in music? This guy is amazing and you have the balls to say its boring AND that there is no swing in music?...are you even a musician?

  • Yes I think this guy is amazing too. When talking about swing, yes, there was a little bend, never mind. What I mean is that Wynton Marsalis has swing when He plays this kind of music. Harry James had swing in his music. They aren't boring. They can tell You a story in music and that swings, not only brilliant technic.

  • @JANIHENRIK You do realise you're talking to one of the world's finest virtuosi on historical and modern trumpets... :/

  • @TheCrazyCello I don't underestimate You so don't underestimate me ! I just listened again the performance. I agree he is brilliant in technics and so on - but I don't like the performance. I'm not saying I can play it better, I can't play it at all - but I don't like it. There is room for all who believe in free word.

  • @JANIHENRIK Sorry - I had to look up my comment, I wasn't talking about myself. I was talking about Giuliano! I'm definitely not the world's finest anything...

  • @JANIHENRIK If you can't do it shut the hell up.

  • @KillerTpt I can't do it, can You? Do You think all rewievers in the world are automatically better than people they criticizing ? If You think so don't You ever dare to criticize anybody unless You are the best in the world !

  • @JANIHENRIK if you can't do it then there is really no place for

    a stupid comment like yours

  • agreed @Agatrampet

  • Comment removed

  • @Agatrampet Giuliano: Well done! I am glad you are playing pieces from that grand old master, Sr. Mendez. He is not appreciated today as he was in his era...he showed the world what the trumpet could do. You are following in his footsteps.

    Keep it up!

  • dude...where is the music?...where is ur sense of musicality?its a beautiful songand not boring.if you were good, practiced your scales,double/tripple tounging,arpeggios,etc..and have musicality then u would not only respect the fact that this is "musical"but u would know that a song specifically made to be technical is ment to show what the player can do and feature..and musical interpretation is part of that. dude go bitch to rafael mendez if you got a problem w/ the song too,cuz uh he wrote it

  • matters of taste can not argue about

  • @JANIHENRIK

more vibrato is not more music, you know??

  • @JANIHENRIK: Neid der Besitzlosen!!

  • reminds me of the rafael mendez recording. awesome job

  • tanto aire tiene?

  • Nice playing mate!keep up the good work and soon you'll be well kown all around the globe!

  • Eccezzionale . . .ma nn è che percaso sei OGM? ahahah

  • what mods does this trumpet have?

  • Super!

  • Hard to compare, but the piano part seems as difficult as the trumpet!

Looking forward to hearing more of your great career.

  • to wallstore i think that mouth piece is a classical one from bach but I'm not sure.

  • Hi, it's a custom-made Joseph Klier (JK) 4C KF, similar to a Bach 1/14C. Giuliano

  • Wich trumpet brand do you use? - Great playing at all ;-)

  • guess i was close lol. Thank you for correcting me. Im a B. G. CONN person myself so i guess im a little behind the times on Bach stuff.

    Nice looking mouth piece though.

  • B. G. Conn? I thought it was C. G. for Claude Gordon. Is it B. G. for real? What's that stand for?

  • it is cg conn. im just full of typos.

  • Ok, to everybody to wants to know about the equipment:

Trumpet: Bach ML B-flat with detachable 72 bell.

    Mouthpiece: Joseph Klier JK 4C

  • @Agatrampet Does the fact that the bell is detachable affect the sound at all?

  • Holy S^!t... this kid can play...

How many hours of practice does that take I wonder....

  • That "kid"... My friend, that is a Man.

  • Im mexican and i love that song ive never heard of this version but you were superb

    awesome-ness

  • he is play very good

  • Amazing:D

But what kind of mouthpiece is that, it's big to be a trumpet mouthpiece:P

    Check out the pianoplayers nose:D

  • And I'm sure you can play better than him because he has a large nose? Oh, I forgot you were perfect...

  • like the master Rafael Mendez

  • I like it!
