  • This is a great song! Had the chance to see Jackie at the 2011 Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. I was not familiar at all with him until that weekend. Very impressed! Great to see him on stage with Warren, Phil Lesh and Jimmy Herring. The fact that he was on stage jamming with those guys says quite a lot about his guitar playing ability.

  • i love his voice its just amazing :)

  • This is such a great groove.......awesome song, Jackie's voice is natural and full of emotion, and this live performance by both of these dudes is perfect and comfortable at the same time.

  • Jackie you a pimp son.

  • Saw him at Salmon stock in Ninilchik Alaska 8-6 along with many other bands! What a show!! He has the best guitar tone I've heard in years. Love that beard too!

  • Going to see Jackie for the second time tonight. He is an amazing musician and I CANT WAIT for the show tonight. It is going to be spectacular.

  • Jackie you rock man ! See you may 3rd. can't wait !

  • bombtastic

  • Jackie Greene is a excellent musician. :) I have not seen him live; however I will one day in the near future. :)

Speaking of the future... you should watch "Cooking Time with Andrew... Show." You will not be disappointed... okay maybe you will be... no promises. :)

  • 1 person listens to spice girls

  • Ituns

  • Jackie you rock!!! You rocked it in Chicago!!

  • I hope we can get close tonight at Maskarade. My 10 year old wants his pick...and some of the mojo...

  • Yeah really boring, agree'd.

  • great! I like his lyrics...and he little reminds me of bon jovi:)

  • I have been going to shows for over 40 years and Jackie is the best new talent I have seen in many many years....

  • i know the person that discovered him!!!

  • What the hell? Jackie Greene haters? Really? How sad is that? I find it more telling of the cretins (perfect name for them, babaradio) spewing this fertilizer than it is of Jackie Greene! I saw him perform recently at Lake Mission Viejo, and he rocked! He's amazing! And he's uber cool and nice... he let me take a picture of him with my daughter and he was so freaking cool about it. You haterz are nucking futz.

  • effortless. i love it.

  • i love your music! my name is Rebecca, Kathy St. Cyr's daughter! she used to work for you! XD

  • This song closed the show at the concert at Lake Mission Viejo. Great acoustic and great electric!

  • @brianmitchell7759 What a killer show that was!

  • boring

  • @JellyDon JACKIE GREENE IS NOT BORING!X(

  • I got to meet him in Knoxville at a free concert. Jackie Greene is not only an amazing artist, but a great performer too. He is my inspiration on days that I don't think I could stand this world another second. On stage, this guy is on every instrument, he will play pretty much everything, except drums. In the past I would envy him for this talent. And he is the reason I have pushed myself to learn it all and can now can play 8 different instruments, including drums. Sorry Jackie, I'm next.

  • His music is really really good I think he kinda over does it with trying to look like Bob Dylan.Thats just my opinion.

  • lovely voice thanks for sharing it

  • I just saw him last night at the Doheney Blue Festival. The guy smoked. The Beatles stuff really turned out well. The guy is an obvious talented musician/song writer/performer. His band complimented him perfectly. I DUG IT!!!

  • so simple yet so good... Jackie brings it

  • The Pride of Sacramento! Jackie is the Roy Hobbs of Roots Rock.

  • There really is no end to how much I love this song.

  • Reminds me of the Rolling Stones a bit.

  • Like watching a rose bloom, very talented and we haven't begun to see the best.

  • He is AMAZING,

I would really like to get him booked for our summer BLUES fest

  • Very good song.

  • JACKIE IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow people are funny on this page....i love jackie!

    he's the shit!

this song is rockin on the cd!

    keep rockin man!

  • This sound is so incredible.

  • Bob Dylan can't sing like this

  • An amazing song sung by an amazing artist! If you don't know that, you don't know anything

  • lets just get back to what an amazing artist that jackie is!

  • you two should get married

  • He's like Bob Dylan,but he can sing :P

  • bob dylan is amazing you prick

  • you're an idiot.

  • Who do you think you are? you birtch,I'm gonna kill you

  • That comment didn't make you sound any less of an idiot.

  • What the hell is wrong with you? Do you think I care about what a stupid guy ñlike you can say here,I bet you're jus e little bitch

  • You're making judgments based on nothing. I am making them on you're stupid comments with no depth what-so-ever.

  • You're stupid,Bob Dylan can't sing,that's all,what the hell are you talking about?

  • so what. ray charles once said "A song is great, when its sung by someone who can't sing and it still sounds great"

Dylan is a legend. One of the many definitions of a true American.

  • oh shut up,I made that comment two months ago,who are you? ray charles?

    YOU ARE A LOSER hahahaha

  • Just stop making an ass out of yourself.

  • Don't tell me what to do

  • really, these comments by the cretins of youtube are not worth responding to. insultingly ignorant they are.

Jackie Greene is a real talent and the people who are here to detract from that are recklessly pathetic. Sort of like the little schmucks that you see in a junior high bathroom writing on the walls.

  • Jackie is the best! And so down to earth. Really a great person. After a performance he was chillin outside in the back and was just hanging out with me.

  • It's nice to have this nice clean video of JG, but there's nothing like seeing him with his full band, when he does this song with intertwining two lead guitars. It's seven minutes of pure ecstasy. If you get to see Jackie in a small venue, don't miss it. The best live music experience i've seen in the past ten years.

  • He's so fucking hot! I would pay to see him perform in an alley

  • Pure gift.

  • Jackie is a natural.. Anyone can see its' effortless to him.. God Bless Salinas, CA!!

  • I agree. This is the first I've heard of this guy and he has a rad sound and it looks very natural to him.

  • I'm probably a bigger fan of Jackie Greene because of his voice. But I think Dylan's contribution to rock/folk/blues/country (whatever you label him as) is more powerful. In my opinion it is Dylan's lyrics that make him important. Plus Greene is much younger... Give him time though, I think he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

  • back up the truck a minute.....jackie might be great , but Bob Dylan is an icon....

  • awesome - period!!!

  • DUDE!!!

  • I mistakenly said in my last response that: "...so, to say Jackie's voice "can't be beat" is kind of ridiculous. It's a matter of personal opinion and yours seems very limited." MEANT TO SAY that "JOHNNY LANG" - someone posted that Johnny Lang's voice can't be beat and I disagree. Johnny is good, but Jackie has made his own success in his own right. Completely agree with zonkadonk. This song/video is one of many good performances by Jackie. Thanks for posting it!

  • thanks for tooting your own horn Jackie! your not as good as you think, your a legend in your own mind

  • who are you talking to?

  • nunya

  • I'm positive jackie dosent make false accounts and goes on youtube praising himself. get over yourself.

  • you need to go outside.

  • Ever heard of certain blues singer that goes by the name of Jonny Lang? he is considered one of the best guitar players in the world and has a voice unbeatable by anyone! including Jackie

  • I'm sure most music aficionados have heard of Johnny Lang. Jackie has sold out shows in NYC; far, far away from his roots of Cali. He's been touring (by request) w/Phil Lesh and the Allman Bros., so, to say Jackie's voice "can't be beat" is kind of ridiculous. It's a matter of personal opinion and yours seems very limited.

  • he was also the opening act for John Butler Trio when I saw them about a month ago

  • well hello JGchica, what an interesting log on name you have! I wonder who you could be? we definatly need to see more Jackie shows for sure, we need more Jackie altogeather, all our love to you chicagirl

  • My personal opinon.... I'm 57 years old.. Jackie can't be beat.. he's everything Bob Dylan ever dreamed to be.. bob's only written more songs.

  • Johnny and Jackie have their own distinct styles and are awesome in their own right. PS: This song came out way before his latest CD "Giving Up The Ghost" - and I agree that Jackie has already made it big; which is also a matter of opinion. You need to see more shows...

  • basketclash...you actually have to have a brain and a sense of humor

  • I don't know...Hannah Montana?

  • LOL EPIC FAIL

  • like who?

  • This song is off his latest album " giving up the ghost" I don't know if he will ever make it big though, there is so much great musical talent out there, he has a lot of competition

  • Comment removed

  • Jackie is gonna make it so big.

  • just heard them today at gathering of the vibes, fuckin amazing shit right here. he also rocked out with phil lesh last night. fuckin sweet

  • is this a song by jackie greene

  • yeah it is

  • wich album

  • i think it's coming out on his next album? but i searched long a hard and i couldnt find a trace of it being written by anyone else.

  • agreed

  • Jackie Greene is the coolest person alive

  • I would say it's something like this:

The verse goes G, Dm, C, F, G and the bridge is Am, G and the second time he plays Am, C and then G.

G: 32xxx3 and some hammer-on's on first fret on the B string: 32XX13

    Dm: xx0231

C: x32013 and before he plays the F-chord he plays d|-0h2- on the C-chord.

F: 1x3213 and then he does the same thing as on the F-chord but on the D-string and then does a pull of and then back to G.

Hope it helps, I think it got a little messy, but I hope you understand. :)

  • when i've played it. I capo'd fifth which it looks like he's doing. to me it sounds right to play G, F, C,F,G......then for the "standing on a corner....." strum the same chords accordingly to the lyrics. the bridge is Am G i think. then Am B..... then G. then into the chorus. G, F C F G...and it continues like that. I may have screwed this up. but thats how I play it. i can't find a tab anywhere so yeah. great song and musician. enjoy

  • thanks man that helped a lot. the chords are pretty accurate he messes around with them but they're right.

  • Can you show me the chord shapes? I don't know how to make those chords while having the 5th fret capo. I appreciate it your time. Thank you.

  • I had'nt ever heard of jackie until a few months ago when a deadhead friend of mine mentioned him. After seeing him last night at mieg feild/charter 1 Icould'nt help being reminded of the first time I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn at Chicagofest 25 yrs ago just a few 100 yards away! What an amazing talent! He will be HUGE.

  • i just heard him last night on Conan,I think,he has a fabulous sound!!!!

  • Jackie is awesome.

  • In my more than thirty years of going to concerts, I've never seen a more complete talent than this young fellow from Sacremento. He's a young Dylan, Clapton, and Joel all rolled into one! Buy the new album..."Giving Up The Ghost"...NOW!!

  • omg i lov this song!!!!

  • Does anyone have the chords for this song?

  • type jackie greene tabs at google and the first site you see contains all jackie greene tabs

  • I can't get this song out of my head. I can't wait to see him on the 26th.

  • Hell yes

  • so good!
