Because of that, it is unheard of for a turtle to die from "old age" alone. An outside force is needed to cause their deaths, such as predators, diseases, or simply drowning from lack of oxygen.

The day we find out why their organs don't age and the reason all other creatures do might be the day we expand a human's life-span dramatically.
