Again, this is just the explanation given in Terminator 1 that addresses why the T800 and Kyle Reese went back in time naked and gunless. It has holes, as you pointed out, cotton is an organic matter that should have been unharmed under the logic of the movie, I'm just saying that there was atleast an attempt to address it.

Well actually you didn't point that out AngryKittenPoo did. In either case I'm not defending Terminator as some hard-super realistic sci-fi. I understand it's a shaky explanation (e.g. doesn't explain how the T1000 fits into all of this). The precept of time travel alone has enough philosophic tangents we could be discussing paradoxes throughout these movies, I'm merely pointing out that this one particular issue parodied in this video was addressed by the movies.

the explanation i can see for going back naked is that, their clothes could have some sort of affect on the past. Like even though baggy pants aren't anything big, sending someone back in a time where they weren't popular could have crazy affects on the future, so they send them back naked so they have no way of affecting that time. They get their weapons in that time along with their clothes so they can blend in
