  • Spectacular catch and video

  • I'm lucky if I see 1 CP, or NS train up here in Upstate, NY. That's why I'm heading to Pittsburgh in March to check out Conway, Conn Pitt, Altoona, and sand patch.

  • Do they not run that many trains in upstate NY?

  • Glad you caught this, brings back many memories of ex-cr power in my childhood :)

  • Huge busy double hump yard at one time, I think they removed the eastbound hump yard now, after NS took over.

  • I live 5 blocks from an NS terminal so I see trains on a daily basis. Problem is I see the same exact locomotives cuz all they do is switch, push-n-pull cars brought in from Enola yard in Harrisburg and classify them into trains heading towards Philly.

  • woo train spotter lol. I see more tains than tyhis

  • add &fmt=18 to the end of the video url for higher quality

  • EXTREMELY well done! What are the tube-like gadgets along the outside of the rails that are causing that clickety-clack sound as each car passes by? The sound is similar to that made by railcars going over jointed rail.

  • those are switch motors

  • would be an interesting route to model in trainz

  • if you have Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006 you can download Altoona with the Horseshoe Curve, and Pittsburgh

  • I miss Conrail so much. They were my favorite trains to railfan. Now all I have is CSX to look at. :[ and a few bnsf's..

  • are those four stroke engines? i'm not too keen on switcher specs

  • I believe they are 2 stroke.

  • CLASSIC cr 8243 and 8113 nice shot
