@MARKEDEVIL1 He didn't ruin this song, or any song for that matter. He's the most creative, skilled musician in the band. Granted, his vocals could've been better on this album, but i like the call and response angelic/demonic voice. Simone is like the voice of reason with her vocals, and Mark always plays the darker "bad" character in each song. It makes the music that much more epic.

l never get tired of this song. lt's just so amazing and Epic. There are many symphonic metal bands, but a lot of them are kinda boring. But Epica is one of those few really good ones that play it in a perfect way, making the atmosphere of the song really blow you away. :D Epica was my introduction to symphonic metal and will always be one of my favourites (with Therion of course)

This album is underrated. Alot of people say it's Epica's worst, but I think it's their 2nd best after Design Your Universe. I just love the powerful double bass patterns along with the guitars in songs like this, The Last Crusade, Mother of Light and Dance of Fate.
