Heck, my last name is Dumagan(run=dagan).. but I am also from Mindanao.. and when I came to Manila 3 months ago to study.. tagalogs were so iffy with me.. the first question they always ask is that if I was a Muslim (no offense to Muslims).. but It's so uncomfortable with their tone and everything.. I guess tagalogs feel superior to the other tribes.. I guess that's what happens if your dialect becomes the "National Language"
