Anyway I like this video and I love that there are people who draw inspiration from us to create things like this. Just to kinda clear some stuff up. We are indeed Christians in this band, but we like to think of our music as secular. That doesn't mean that our faith doesn't have a place in our music or lyrics. This song does have references to a particular relationship, and perhaps josh had.

We got back together this summer to start writing a new album, but I decided to take my leave. The boys are still chopping away at it though, so expect to hear some new STC tunes in the near future. As such, this video may or may not be an accurate representation of the meaning that SearchtheCity was striving for when they wrote this song. That said, to the best of my knowledge this is a Christian band, so it's not totally out of the question that this song is related to God in one way or another, which probably led to the topic of God. That's my thinking, anyways.
Drinking isn't a sin, as long as you're not drinking to get drunk. It's only sinful when you're drinking to get drunk, or when drinking becomes an obsession, or God is replaced by drinking. In this case, i think she should pray, not turn to the bottle, only God can fix us, not a bottle of vodka or whatever alcohol/liquor people drink.
christians are human as well..... and we all are tempted in the same way.. mistakes can be made. The difference is how we deal with them if they happen or after they happen..
