  • OMG!!! at 1:00-1:04, notice how Repunzul's Prince rips off the blood patches on his eyes!!!!!!!

  • im repunzels prince

  • congrats!

    he's my favorite!

  • xD

My school had two narrators, two teachers xD

I was only out for this song, the first song and the last one ¬.¬'

One was a choiry woman and sang it properly, like songy

and the other was a maths teacher

    and he was better xDDD

  • thanks for uploading my school's thinking about doing this one and i wanted to have a look at it. i love the witch, the baker's wife, and little red. :)

  • Wow, I really needed to watch this sooner, I'm singing the Narrator part in Ever After with WAY too much melody.

  • I love 4:39 when Bernadette pushes the step-sister! XD

  • i met beredette peters she was really nice!!!!

  • WOAH!!! When???

  • i LOLed when she tried to put her stick back together XD

  • The line "blood-soaked slipper" makes me cringe.

    <3

  • I love Bernadette Peters first line in this clip :) it's so funny!!!

  • i adore how Bernadette sings her line in Ever After with the two stepsisters

  • for some reason although i dont have any lines or even see my self in this vid im snow white in our schools production of this play

  • there is a snow white in this????

  • At the very very end...the only line she has is, "Excuse me" as she yawns when waking up along with Sleeping Beauty.

  • yea its mainly in the second act i think go look at it......but in our production i (snow white) came out in the chorus parts when every ones singing

  • is this the original Broadway cast?

  • indeed it is :-)

  • Here's an interesting bit of trivia: Kim Crosby (Cinderella) and Robert Westenberg (Cinderella's Prince/The Wolf) actually got married to each other in real life. They met in this production of Into The Woods. They have two children and live in Springfield, Missouri where Robert teaches college theatre classes at Drury University.

  • really? wow thats adorable. i never knew that.

  • thats so cool! :D

same thing with a director i work with at my commmunity theatre:

she met her husband in a production of neil simon's "Rumors"

where they played husband and wife. And thats how they first met :D

    haha

but that is so adorable that cinderella and the prince got married :)

  • 2:51..kinda darkens the romantic moment huh?

  • Haha very much so :D

  • i got the part of cinderella's mother. i know it's a small part but i'm the only freshman who got a part.

  • I'm not trying to be racist as well, but why are they doing Jewish dancing.

  • Maybe they're Jewish....

  • It's called the grapevine... it's used in Israeli dancing but not necessarily ONLY Jewish... don't hate.

  • I'm not hating. lol.

    Part of my familys Jewish.

Well...they married into the family...but still lol.

I have nothing against Jewish people! :)

  • Grapevine's a move in jazz too! ^_^

  • Amazing:)

  • In addition to my reply to Lilpep1221, they've both dated Steve Martin at some time in their lives.

  • "Ever After" is probably the most epic thing ever.

  • Love Bernadette Peters. She's amazing!

  • Me too!!!! Her part at 2:30-2:40 is priceless!!<3

  • agreed lol.. shes so funny, and such an amazing actress and singer!

  • She reminds me of Helena Bonham Carter. I don't know why. xD

  • i can see it. They have the same sense of humor... and they kind of look similar.

  • Who? Bernadette Peters? If so, it's the hair, the voice, and the fact that they've both been in Stephen Sondheim musicals!

  • haha, I get to be cinderella for my school's production. it'll be great.

  • oh really? my friend is rapunzell, her prince is creepy too!

    i'm the Evil Stepmother

  • This may sound a bit racist, but I don't mind, don't hold it against me... But the Baker and his Wife are so Jewish. Am I the only one who's noticed that?

  • bernadette peters is genius in this role !

  • I love this musical!! its PRICELESS!!

    a-haha <3

  • I Love The Whole Show

  • oh my god 2:47-3:00 wow that's dark

  • just a little bit disturbing. >.>

  • omg, hahahahahaaaaaaaaa

    2:30-2:37 AMAZING!!!

    hahahaha

  • Ahaha! LOVE 2:29 - 2:37 !!!!

  • the witch in this was the evil stepmother in Cinderella! the rodger's and hammerstien version!

  • Bernadette Peters<333

  • Yep, Bernadette Peters.

  • 1:32-1:36 is PRICELESS!!!!!!

  • tahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahaha!!! rapunzell's crying was halarious

  • i love this play... the way they deconstructed all the archetypes was amazing, it wasn't expected at all!! really cool:D

  • This is absolutely one of my favorite movies/musicals ever. If you honestly loved it you wouldn't have cared about the length.

  • i had to watch this in class and just when i thought it was over it was like TO BE CONTINUED!

    everyone in my class groned

its a good play,i loved it. its just soooo long D:

  • Oh gosh i love Bernadette! this is brill! i also like red riding hood haha!!

  • I love bernadette peters!

  • PAMELA WINSLOW = AMAZING.

  • lol i love lucinda and florinda! their duet is soo funny, and bernadette's solo in ever after is histerical, and how she pushes the sisters! love this play

  • I love how they stay consistent at the end and move the two blind girls out of the way while everyone else dances. I guess they figure that Broadway choerography is too complicated for blind sisters.

  • Hahaha!

I love the way Rapunzel "cries" into the Prince's eyes! :P

  • i know thats my favorite part

  • Oh I just adore Bernedette Peters!

  • amazing!! i love this musical! hhahahha they're all so funny :)

  • she may not have powers but bernadette look stunning in that outfit

  • what was rapunzel doing to the prince

  • She was crying into his eyes to restore his vision.

  • IT's so funny how the witch is singing abouit how happy she is when she is really so annoyed! And when the narrater starts singing... this is one of my favorite parts!

  • I LOVE HER LAUGH!

"I was going to come fetch you just as soon as you learned your lesson hehehhehe

  • i love when bernedette/the witch breaks her magic stick and starts whining and crying. she's so funny.

  • I love how the witch is completely not ecstatic in "Ever After." It's hilarious! I love Bernadette Peters.

  • yeah the look on her face as she's dancing around by herself is priceless

  • Bernette Peters is a WONDERFUL actress.

  • we're doing this play in my school....i love it soo much...!

  • LOVE BERNADETTE PETERS SOOO FUNNY!!

  • Why do the pigeons sound like crows?

  • uhhhh magic oooooooooooooo

  • What's funny is that the actors who play Cinderella and her Prince are married IRL :D

  • Then it is kinda ocward when the prince cheats on her with the bakers wife in the play!

  • I should mention, I guess, that they married /after/ this... XD

  • sweet....

  • The baker and his wife are great actors. They have such great chemistry.

  • Oh Bernadette Peters, the poofy shoulders of your temptress dress are so sensual... like sexual soap suds of the eighties...

  • pop them out.... Ok that would be soooooo strange!

  • Why, in act II, is rapunzel running away from her prince????

  • in the script she is described as a "phsycotic mess" lol that should explain it

  • poke out

  • I love cinderella's wedding dress!!!

  • I know, but every daughter needs its own freedom and every mother always misses their child. But, she could just visit rapunzel everyday.

  • The primary conflict in the Witch/Repunzel business is that the Witch wants to keep Repunzel away from civilization and humanity. Almost as though she wants to raise the perfect child, yet with the overhang of the curse on her appearence fueling her grudge towards the Baker's family, as Repunzel is, biologically, within it. Her disposition mixed with Repunzel's willfullness deems it almost impossible for them to compromise.

  • the girl playing rapunzel is amazing. with all the screaming she has to do and then to be able to sound so beautiful when she sings is amazing! and i lvoe her and the princes reunion! lol

  • Man, this is amazing! I saw a high school do this awhile ago and had no idea what was going on but now it all makes sense!

I'm cast as Florinda in a production that goes up in March. I CAN"T wait!

  • i love this song and i like when the witch comes in how how "happy" she sounds

  • I love the laugh after "You learned your lesson". lmao. its so awkard.

  • ''Ever After'' is horribly choreographed.

  • i agree

  • its either there is too much going on or nothing going on

  • I disagree! It's choreographed quite nicely!

  • XDDDDDDDDD rapunzel like bangs her head on the prince and XDDDDDDDDDD cinderella's prince and cinderella bobbing up&down on the horse

  • bernadette peters is amazing here.one of her best perfomances.

this is one of my favorite musicals. as you may tell from my username. pleasonton playhouse is doing this in the sping. yay!
