I don't understand how that's NOT physical pain, but I suppose if you have worse things to compare it too . . . personally I'd rather be whipped. As a people we should not be torturing people. I believe we should do onto prisoners of war what we would not mind being done to our soldiers if they are captured. It has been demonstrated that brain damage can be a consequence of water boarding and there is a chance of death, although I honestly can't see that happening very often either. I disagree and would say there is a large price to pay - we are torturing people in the 21st century and I think that's barbaric. It shows a serious lack of ingenuity and is disgraceful. We should hold higher standards for ourselves as a people.

We need to be leaders teaching the world torture is wrong and in time we can hope others will join. There is no guarantee torture will work anyways, it is an imperfect science. When subjected to sever mental anguish most reasonable people would say almost anything to make it stop. I'd like to see more people coming together and saying what are the better alternatives, alternatives that will hopefully provide us with more accurate answers than torture ever could. This is the future.
