No. Both Danzig and Graves brought something special to the misfits. You can't compare them to each other.

Off course both line-ups had catchiness as the main element. Vocal lines from

both Danzig AND Graves, are fucking brilliant and nobody can dismiss this.

Famous monsters is the worst studio album though. The songs Fiend Without A Face and No More Moments are the 2 worst in The Misfits history. The comes Rat Fink with Danzig. (this album is the worst up until 2010 and NOT COUNTING the Project 1950 cover album)

Of course i mean that in terms of catchiness. Those 3 are the least interesting songs for me. Graves was great, Danzig was great too. The 2 line-ups had a few differences in sound. With Danzig the direction was mostly Short Dynamite songs and it had a vintage sound (off course i'm not forgetting songs like "Theme For A Jackal" and "Come Back" or "Static Age"). The other line-up had more of a metallic sound attached and songs became kiiiiinda lengthier.
