  • you charge a magnet by inducing a magnetic field, this can be done with an electromagnet taken to bar of iron. the magnet properties fade eventually, but are not "consumed" your motor, unfortunately, doesn't burn magnets as fuel, and wont produce more energy than they use.sorry.

  • you get more magnets out of steel wire than copper if you do not have on iron core

  • try a flywheel. I also believe a pulse every five minutes or so and kinettic energy will produce a feeling of perpetual energy. O f course giving it a kick every five minutes or so stays within the laws of physics.

  • Magnets do not have energy in them, well no more then a drop of glue. Stick a magnet to a steel plate or do the same with a drop of glue.

    You made a nice electric motor so far. Good and keep trying. you will use more energy than you will make. OK, you will be making a transformer tho. You will take say 12V DC and you will make some AC higher voltage.

  • But in the end what you will do is Take One Dollar of energy and make 50 cents worth of energy...... But this is done all the time !! Where we light up our cities we burn up 1,000,000 btu's of coal and make and send out 500,000 btu's of electric to our homes.  All energy has to be accounted for.

    don't forget the cost of the fuel for the trucks to haul the coal to the belt. the cost of the electricity used to mine the coal. your down to about 23% efficient.

  • Burn Coal, Heat btu's up the flue pipe, it takes energy (btu's) to make noise, any noise the coal plant makes comes from the btu's in the coal and cannot go out to light our homes.... etc....

    It is great to try and I like what you are doing.... Now water in a stream passing by, or the air blowing by... catch some of that and turn you generator and you can keep or use some of them btu's.

  • The point your not taking into account is the eddy currents that will happen between your rotor and stator. The stronger your magnetic field is as it moves through the copper wires, the more resistance your machine will experience. This is why you wont get more power out then you put in. You do however have the beginnings of a very fine electrical alternator.

    Something many need to learn is this:

    Magnet do ***NOT** possess any energy.

    Magnets cannot and do not generate energy.

    Magnets possess a force.

    A force needs to have motion to make power

    Power takes times to make energy.

    Magnets can be used to convert one energy source into another, usually a more usuable form...electrical energy..

    Energy is free all around us. It takes money and machines to convert it.

  • unfortunately, your alternator design is destined for failure unless you go single phase (read: low efficiency). rule of thumb for this style of alternator is 1.33 magnets (round up, dont cut the magnet) per coil in the stator, wired in 3 phase. stator must be a multiple of 3, which you already have.

    also, these alternators might spin freely when there is no load on them, but put a load and it gets hard to turn (I short the leads for a "brake" in my wind turbine, very effective in a storm)

  • you said you use magnets as fuel, but how about the bobbin under the magnets rotor? Why you didn't said anything about that bobbin which is power supplied? Can you try to explain with more detail your project showing everything there?

    A powerful magnet is NOT a continuous source of energy, it's like a powerful rubber band... it is NOT a source of free energy !! To obtain continuous electricity you have to use mechanical energy to move your coils over the magnets. And if the magnets are more powerful, you need more effort to move those magnets !! Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm sure you're learning fast...cheers, good luck.

  • Agreed. You should also look into how flux works. It helps to understand magnets inside and out too (fields, forces, induced current, etc).

  • To save time and energy connect a DC motor to your motor with gearing or pulleys for mechanical advantage, because all DC motors are generators then use an inverter to turn the DC to AC.

  • If I understand this correctly, you are using a battery to power an electric motor that is going to spin a home-made alternator to generate electricity?

    What is the purpose of this?

    Do you think that you will get more out of the alternator than you are putting into the electric motor?

    If this is your goal, I suspect that you will be very disappointed.

  • Well...if the ultimate goal is to get "free" energy, the experiment will fail miserably. It is not possible to get more energy out of the system than is being input.

    However, if the goal is to see if you can construct an alternator with perhaps more efficiency than a typical auto variety, then he might be successful.

  • Cool stuff. I am trying to figure out free energy in my car, or at least increase the mileage using a hydrogen generator. Not sure if you've all heard of them but check em out here on you tube.     I've already built a Bedini motor with a air-core coil alternator with 24 coils and 12 Neo-magnets as you're proposing. The unit produces 30 VAC at approximately 200 rpm.

    My problem is the Lenz effect shutting the device down. I have NOT tried using a reed switch as you have in this video. Do you believe the reed switch improves the torque? Also, do you use the back EMF off of the coil into a secondary coil to improve torque?

  • Why not make your own hybrid? I guess that way you can charge many batteries while you are driving around and then when you come home, you just plug your house into your car for electricity :)

  • according to energy from the vacuum series this will be energy from radiant energy. Not from magnets. Essentially it's free energy because you did not pay for it. Your videos are incredible - keep it up!

  • no but I am getting voltage and amps off of my triggers coil also. I hook it up to a bridge rectifier and charge the other battery.

  • Also, as mentioned in an earlier post, adding centrifugal weights and increasing magnet strength many increase the torque sufficiently to cancel the drag caused by the load on your alternator.

    Best of luck mate, I want to build one of these when I find time. Stay with it!

  • I am going to put neo mags on the motor itself to produce more torque. The problem is finding a balance between torque, generated electricity, load etc... Using neo mags on the motor itself uses many many more amps...like 20x. I am only using .040amps @ 12 volts and getting 800-1100rpms. I will test the generator when I put a load on it. The great thing is...I can slow the motor down with my hand with no increase in amps.

  • Would it be possible, for instance, to set up an automated switching system (perhaps electronic) that could alternate the two batteries being used, so that one may provide power while the other is being charged and so. Would this allow for continuous running?

    Watching these videos I cannot help but be amazed. I have been researching 'Free Energy' for my own satisfaction for sometime now and your experiment seems the most likely to produce something worthy, in my limited opinion. My understanding of the technology so far is limited, however I have a few ideas if you don't mind.

  • i dont think we will ever get energy for free,(perpetual motion) but like you i think its possible to get more energy out of energy. good job, just remember that whenever you put a load on the generator its gonna put a drag on the pulsing motor. so maybe try to compensate by adding another blade with weights on the other side so centrifical force will be helping you.5 stars

  • That is a huge factor. Kinetic force is absolutly part of the solution. Magnets are the fuel...

  • Good plan, I tried a wheel directly on an alternator but failed.  I am thinking just as you are a custom made alternator. Careful with the Neo's they will jump and break if you are not very careful with them. Also fill your coils with magnetic sand, will improve voltage.

  • Magnetic sand creates drag and works well with higher torque windmills working with lower speeds 300rpms. This will be lower drag with higher rpms 1100+ from what I have read so far anyway.Thanks for the info and keep trying. I know I am not going to quit.   • This thing reminds me of this one "battle-bot" where it had a huge saw blade. The thing was so large that when it picked up momentum it would toss huge 55-gallon drums when it would hit it. Really reminds me of that thing. --hah--

    This has to work, from what I understand. The thing is you might have to install sometype of pulley system to put a ratio on the motor itself to drive the alternator set-up you are trying to build. Maybe a 1:3 ratio, with a flywheel. At that point once that got moving, nothing could stop it. Be careful. --heh--
