Decision went to Krista, though Bernise clearly won. It's obv they were in Krista's neck of the woods, the crowd was behind her. I think she had the last round and she kept advancing the entire fight but, to me, all other rounds went to Bernise.
Who do I think won? The lucky spectators--people like me.
A buddy of mine turned me on to boxing. He was a hug Muhammed Ali fan. The guy was (still) is brilliant. Still remember watching his fight against...Jimmy Ellis, I think. From Landover, Maryland. I think.
I definitely remeber Ali saying: "You gotta whup the champ to win." He said that while he was being taken back to his dressing room on a stretcher! Brilliant. (Seriously.)
