I can tell this chap wants to help - that's very kind.

But as a piece of advice for us wanting to learn - we CAN read. What teaching is about is to TELL us what something is/does OR show us.

I'm no clearer what "Text displayed in Cell" does ??

No clearer on what Matte does (I know what a matte is, but in this context I'm unclear).

All this video has done has shown how to click the slice tool......

Hi,

I have Sliced photoshop images image and html to dreamweaver and then made some relevant links. But when i upload the index.html to my server i only see ? on the images. there is a table but with no images. I have uploaded the images to my ftp server. Any ideas to why i only get ? marks.

Hey balamberas2, thanks for the comment. i Have never seen ? marks they are normally x marks. What this means is that the image is not connected to the file or the image structure os different on your computer to what you uploaded. if you could send me a link i can have a look into it for you. @1stoptutorials . i found the problem. On the html code the image location was Images/imagename.gif. when i uploaded it i didnt have the pics on a folder called images... thanks for the great tutorial Mr baba

Hey iliarpi, thanks for your comment. I have never done that myself but i would imagine you have to slice it in different structure, have you tryed doing a search on google for tutorials. let me know how you get on

hey chiliroxy, thanks for the comment. Im not sure if you have to change it to a gif, i would think that you could have it as a jpeg or any other image format. If the graphic is small and does not have to much detail then a gif is good. Im sure i have made graphics before for myspace as a jpeg as well. Let me know how you get on.

hey chiliroxy, you dont have to use dreamweaver if you do not have it. Do you have frontpage or anything like that. If not you can download a free 30 days of dreamweaver and just use it to add your graphics. let me know how you get on
