I appreciate your view. In fact I used to share the same views. But one day I realized that the death penalty doesn't stop people from killing. Almost every murder happens for 3 reasons: 1) Insanity 2) Passion 3) Desperation. And in each case the death penalty is not a deturant. Ted Bundy isn't going to think, "maybe I shouldn't kill this hooker cause I'll get the chair". A cheated lover isn't thinking about the death penalty. And someone doing armed robberies to eat doesn't give a fuck period.
