  • --this blonde guy with the glasses is pretty worthless- man he must have just winged it on one take..the most informative part of this video is the PR guy who gives the updates on the 2008 model. THAT is what this video should be--informal. Not some guy who just says "bitchin" -- that doesnt sell me.

  • The ZX and Busa are pretty even performance-wise,I've had 3 sportbikes,not faithful to any specific make or model,I'm faithful to a bike that brings me performance,looks and a nice ride,a bike that is as confortable crusing as it is speeding like there's no tomorrow

  • From what I have seen, the zx 14 is for riders who what the most out of their bikes. Nearly every time I've seen a busa on the street, it's a black guy posing trying to get some. They're still more fun to ride with than squidbillys on a gixxer tho

  • It's funny how everyone with a ZX-14 keeps talking about the Busa but the people with Busa's don't give a shit about the ZX-14. LIke, if i go to a Hayabusa Vid there would be comments from ZX-14 riders taking the piss out of the Busa, and when i go on a ZX-14 vid you'll still taking the piss. I don't see Busa owners doing the same on either vid. Gosh your so threaten by this bike you have to mention it everywhere, even when it's irrelevent.

  • I just traded my 06 Busa for a 07 ZX-14. The Busa is a great bike, but the ZX-14 is phenomenal! I couldn't be more happier. The Kawi is a complete, fine tuned and polished bike. So much fun to ride. I do not miss my Busa at all. As for the 08-10 Busa, I would like to test ride it some time. Kawasaki has done well with the ZX-14. Comfortable, powerful, controlled and I could keep going!

  • I own a ZX14 and its fuckin' fast. Yoshimura carbon pipes, EVO shift star etc, etc, cars are for pussies. Once you've rode a Busa or a ZX14, a car is something boring.... there's no feeling comparison between cars and bikes.

  • @89powerup have you ever driven any thing with a motor? if you would be passed by bikes all the time... look.. veyron, W16, 8.0,1000hp vs hayabusa inline4, 1.3, 200hp.... to 300km/h veyron gets in 19.6s and hayabusa gets in 18.6s... so don't say fuck bikes cus you will get fucked by bikes in any car daily....pussy...

  • I havn't read any reviews where the busa wins at all, but they are pretty even. The zx14 is king, and who wants to be 2nd- well only a busa would.. The zx has better breakes, is more steady at top speed and has a more smooth riding style..

  • well, guys i've owned both, and rode the snot out of them both and for me it's the zx14 hands down, the power is so smooth that it begs you to run it balls out, although the busa is a sexy bike, touring is out of the question, i'm 6'1" 290 lbs, both are awsome above 100mph but the 14 handles better at high speeds, the busa is more subject to wind resistance on the rider, at 160 mph on the 14 you still check your mirrors, try that on a busa & the wind will crack you neck. zx14 all day !!!

  • Ah yes...The Zx14 is the real king...The feel-The handling The rider position and power. Of course looks too. Much better than the Busa's Hunch back Spastic Sperm look. Or perhaps more like a kids toy left in the sun too long and it's started to melt.

Busa is meant more for the people that like it because of its looks and EVERYBODY has a gsxr, only cause the bike makes them look cooler.   • In case ya did not know... the ZX14 has 12cc(s) more than the Busa..... Twelve! Its a 1300 and 1/2 or 1350 bike.

    As for sticking it in a cart, whichever has more torque.

  • this is quicker off the line , busa is quicker top end

  • more power but busa is still fastest due to torque curve HP is just the work the engine is doin, the torque curve is what makes the ride what it is.

  • saying about comfort and so on, recently at a bikeshow i got to a feel around pretty much any bike you could think of, and this bike really isnt as big as it looks, no bigger than my old zzr600 was, just feels more natural than the sportsbikes

  • I think its got a lot more character than the 'busa. its ugly, but thats part of the charm, it's unique, and MASSIVELY fast. I would much rather take this and be riding this robo-shark looking thing, than a run of the mill Busa.

    I understand that the lowers will touch before the OEM pegs will. I think I'll put longer "feelers" on mine.

  • Just the small pegs coming of the foot rests. After that you have to scrap the fairing which i dont want to do. But i aint a pro or out clearly so it was just a milestone for me cause i can do it all the time now. Just hope the fairing dont catch... I think were prob talkin bout the same thing. hero pegs or feelers. The standard ones will stop you from touching fairing. If you here the sound or feel the peg touching just hold it there i guess.

  • I have a mate who is 6ft 5 and when sat on the zx14 says it feels fantastic! It seems to fit the legs really well. It helps in making u not look lanky! lol

  • You might be surprised. I have the 07' ZX-14 SE (fly's out, w/PCIII) In comparison to the liter bikes, the ZX-14 is extremely comfortable for long rides, and handles better than you would think.  I've ridden the 08' ZX-10R which handles way better, but just doesn't have much comfort for street riding.

    In a nutshell the ZX-14 is a great street or drag bike.

    The Liter bikes and 600's are great track bikes.

    They are all fun, nomatter what you ride, enjoy yourself and be safe. :-)

  • Way more comfortable on the bigger bikes. More upright. however, i like the sport feel of bending over and cornering lightly. Can't get there. Like comparing a porsche to a viper. Both have great qualities but vastly different.

  • Picking up either an 08 or 09 some time after new years. Was between this and the CBR1000rr. Everyone said this was better for longer rides. Best of all, I won't be confused for one of the busa crowd (if not for a negative connotation of busa riders being idiots on crack, I'd get one)

  • man i would really check into the 1000's, they are a lot more nimble with more than enough power and in my opinion more fun to ride.

    but hey it's whatever you thing looks/feels the best!

  • Well my first choice was a CBR1000RR, and I came to that choice after much research (smoothness of throttle response, mass centralization, lowered center of gravity, lighter wet weight), and wanted to avoid the hypersports. But the ZX is actually more comfy (I like to ride 2-3 hours non-stop), and believe it or not the insurance is lower. For 100/300/100 $500ded I'm looking at $1200/year for the CBR, and like $987 for the ZX-14 (State Farm). Only $800 if I get 25/50/25 $500ded.

    I'm around Baltimore/DC so it's a major metro area (more people with bikes, and more accidents/deaths). While I'm 27 I've only been riding street for 2 years now, which I know affects it. Plus I'm looking at what equates to a 1400cc inline 4 lol.

    But yeah, progressive (who I pay $500 for my SV650) and geico both wanted $3500 for the CBR1000, and $4000 for the ZX14. And I have a clean record lol. That's insane.

  • well i'm only 21 and i live in omaha, NE but going to be moving soon cuz i'm in the Air Force. i don't remember exactly the coverage i have but it's full coverage obviously

    i think a $500 deduct and 15G medical coverage, with a couple speeding tickets that didn't really affect me i guess

    but i got some crazy quotes for like 10G's a year, basically telling me no way we're going to cover you

  • ah you lucky bastard. I'd kill to be in the military... or rather... I would have 7 years ago. Now it's like "meh". Looked in to the Navy and Army but I weighed too much. No biggy, ended up going into the fire department for a number of years till I got bored and left of my own free will (something I couldn't have done in the army). Though I'm sorry to say I don't care for the new Airforce BDU... too asian looking (like tiger stripe). Then again the ACU is total crap. Only USMC has good gear now

  • Sweet... but the 14 busted the whole '08 top speed treatie (including liter bikes)...by 1 - 2 mph!!! And it takes the slowest tp reach there too!!! But comfort wise, the 14 is tops! Long live Kawasaki! Let the good times roll... :)
