thts nuthin, i gotta get to the farm in my sport trac every day, nomater what hav had it 8 years, and i live in wisconsin, its never goten stuck, no mods, and it runs great, iv done a 6 ft drift before, but thats pushin it
Just bought a 2005 Sport trac adrenalin. After seeing this video, I realized what I bought was a 4 wheeled snowmobile!!! Great piece of driving in an awesome truck. Great video!!!
I've owned a ranger and it was such a lemon, I said I'd never buy another ford. But after having an accident in my chevy blazer, the insurance pay out on it gave me enough to buy a 2002 sport trac with a brand new engine (247k km originally)... hopefully i made a good choice going back to ford
BEAUTIFUL!!! haha i want a sport trac i have a 98 explorer sport, it make me happy to also she your roof lights i just installed 4 off road lights on mine as well, good looking turck
cool vid but im not kiddin dont mess around with that shit too much, thats exactly how i flipped mine...it didnt take much at all cuz its real top heavy, there is even a warning on how easy it is to flip right by the mirror
I live in canada it is a beast for winter driving ive drivin it through snow drifts up to the headlights. I ditched it once in a snowbank there was no need for a tow truck.
awesome park job.... I'm going to try that with my 2008 Sport trac this winter.. How many watts for the lights ? Was the installation hard? Thanks man..

are you all fucking retarted?? that thing is a turd...going thru a lil snow and it almost gets hung up? garbage, ford makes absolute garbage...if you want a real four wheel drive read up a lil more instead of a piece of shit 4x4 grocery getter
I think i'm buyin' one of those. If i'm going to college up in 6 Foot snow drift country i think having a Sport Trac would be a good idea. after seeing this vid
Drifting the Sport Trac. NICE. I have one of these, and it's the best vehicle I've ever owned. Highly recommended to anyone who needs an all purpose vehicle.
i want one so bad...my lil 2wd ranger just dont cut it in snow and there is no room for my friends...with a sport trac there is room for them kick ass 4x4 and room for a deer in the back btw KILLER VID
where did you get the lights for the top? what kind of lights are they? and how much did they cost? all i have is to KC daylighters on my brushguard and i need so light up top but i cant find a light bar. so please get back to me on this. Thanks! and check out my 4 wheelin vid in you wanna!
The whole rack is custom. I spent forever looking for a light bar and one day just decided to make one. I have a yakima rack on the truck so my buddy and I took 3 pieces of 1 1/4 inch flat stock and made a square U shape. We drilled four holes on the cross piece for the lights and took the ends of the arms and heated them with a torch to get them to hook around. We hooked the flat stock around the cross piece for the rack and put rubber bump stops on the bottom so it could rest on the roof.
As far as the lights go they are an older style Hella 500FF. Really bright with good distance. I got them off amazon for maybe $100 for all four of them. After that there was just the wiring to do. For maybe $200 total in parts and labor it was totally worth it.
yeah ive looked all over for one too and i just recently made one for mine. i dont have a roof rack so i just mounted it to my roof rails. i just bought the cheapy baja lights from wally world for like $40 for all 4. theyre alright for the price. they mailnly just light up the hood. lol
That was great man, love the video. By the way, two questions (I know i'm gonna sound ignorant but i just can't get this questions out of my head), I own a 4x2 sport trac, can I do something like that or at least go off road without problems?, also, I still have the crappy tires from the agency, which tires and which size would you recomend me?, thanks for the atention, looking forward for an answer.
you can do some alright stuff with a 4x2. just dont try to get to crazy with it. especially if you have the stock tires. i replaced mine with a set of 265/75/16 Hankook Dynapro MT's they have only gotten me stuck one time out of SEVERAL off road trips. and that was when mud was passed my door and it took TWO 4x4 tractors hooked to me to get me out.
for your 4x2 i would recommend the 255 tire height. i think thats what is on some of the other ST's mine came stock with the 235s. the 265s rub some
Other than regular maintenance I haven't had any huge repair bills. Before this snow fell I took it through some pretty deep much which messed up the rotors and did some damage to the undercarriage but that was my own fault. The odometer currently reads 100,786 miles and the truck still feels really tight.
it definitely wasn't "insane" or "impossible" but it looked like fun. latest snow around here was 5", my explorer is up on 33" mud terrains and has locked front and rear, i wish i had 2 feet of snow to play with.
that was the best three minutes of youtube ever hahaha that was great i love it : ) and since were all talking about our sport tracs i got a three inch body lift on my '01 and pro comp rims/tires there black rims with what size do you guys think i should go???
If I did that, my front end would fall out!
