The Royal Navy and the French Navy are the only ones comparable to the Indian Navy, although the the 2 European are in a different strategic league with SSBNs. Without that it's a toss up between the IN and each of the other two. Apart from Vikrant, IN is 1980s onwards. And as for naval aviation, the IN will soon overtake every Navy except the USN and the Russian Navy. Navies do missions not fight each other. So that way the IN can outmission any European Navy.

Have you recently count the number of aircraft carriers, helicopter/amphibian carriers, etc in the Italian navy, for example? By the way, I see new aircraft carriers in italy ("Cavour"), and Spain ("Juan Carlos"). In india all you do is buy 2nd hand old crap, and dream about an aircraft carrier project, instead of feeding the millions who have nothing to eat inside India.

Dude...The Italian navy carriers are crap(too small)...not worth of being mentioned as an aircraft carrier...The only countries which have aircraft carriers worth mentioning are US, Russia, French, Britain and India...

India has only second hand old crap bought from others, like Brazil (same shit), wich is no surprise since India is a 3rd world country who should feed theire starving population first. Yes.. you are a dickhead. The new Cavour italian aircraft carrier (30 000 tons final service) is a state of the art new aircraft carrier. The 3 english carriers are from "my mother´s" age. The indian navy can´t even be considered, only for museums. Even the Brazilian aircraft carrier "São Paulo" is newer and bigger than the indian lonely crap carrier. Don´t waste our time anymore with nationalistic ignorance.

T 42s are much superiour to most Italian Destroyers.
the Royal navy only lacks in a new Frigate replacment plan.

In fact the british navy is my biggest disapointment these years. All old crap, while the other (german, spanish, dutch, french, italian, even danish!) navies have aegis and stealth frigates and destroyers by years now. The Royal navy is still going other trials with the first modern destroyer/frigate in years! Let´s not even talk about the british old crap aircraft carriers. The italians and spanish got in front even on that. (not even mentioning the french with nuclear aircraft carrier).

In fact the italian "Cavour" is bigger than india's old crap "Viraat". "Cavour" is 244m long, Viraat is 226,5m long. Viraat is 28,700 tons when full loaded. Cavour final service tonnage is 30 000 tons. etc. Cavour is state of the art, Viraat is from the "stone age". Be realistic.

Concluding... we have to take out of your list India for sure, but we have to include Brazil with the "Sao Paulo" aircraft carrier (previous "FS Foch" from the french navy) wich is bigger, and more recent than the old crap "Viraat".
