"therainmaker84 (3 weeks ago) Pantani was injured by a terroristic-mediatic campaign in Italy, he fell into depression and started to use drugs for that."
Bunch of R's. He doped to win, like many others did in his time, and got a taste for it. He did some fantastic things on his bike, but died a drug addled paranoid.
You are probably right. All pros are in a difficult position if they don't "play the game" with doubtful methods. Undoubtably great, seemed like a good bloke but very hightly strung.
I really like the Fignon, Anderson big attacking style. The radio earpiece has ruined the sport. Most of the riders couldn't make a decision on their own. Perhaps the rider should have to thank his manager for the win.
Ho ancora il VHS di quella tappa registrata. Ogni volta che lo guardo, un brivido mi corre lungo la schiena. Bellissima, con gli attimi "rubati" da un appassionato lungo la strada. Grazie di cuore a chi l'ha postata.
Pantani was injured by a terroristic-mediatic campaign in Italy, he fell into depression and started to use drugs for that.
About his death the french journalist Philippe Brunel has discovered orrible things, seems like Pantani has been killed by someone that still was fearing his return and the possibility he would say dangerous things about cyclism.
I was actually there in 98' about 3k from the top of Les Deux Alpes, freezing cold, pissing rain all night, epic stage, too bad Pantani, Riis and Ulrich are all druggies.
We there's no actual proof but considering his performances and how his rivals were all doped to the eyeballs there is only one conclusion; Armstrong was a superior...........doper.
thanks a lot. Wow . I wish I was there. One day I am going to be a supporter and stand on a mountain to cheer the tour de france riders. :) powerful picture.
I heard a Dutch guy calling Michael Boogerd. Boogerd kom op jongen. which means Boogerd come one boy! ;)
I wish I was there.

A championisimo, no doubt, but flawed too.

That's right Epons was a superior doper !
Suddenly he became a stronger climber than Pantani, who without not getting dopped showed everyone he was the strongest.
Then Armstrong suddenly became a great climber .... Anyway let Marco rest in peace .
